The last two trips to the SB the defense was just run of the mill. In 2020 when they lost to Green Bay in the playoffs the defense was excellent and was #1 in points against. The O was predictable though. This year, after a pretty humbling season last year, and a coach that was considering stepping away from the position but didn't leads me to believe that the NFL is going to see a different "thing" from the Rams offense and McVay as a play designer and playcaller.
McVay, as much as he can be frustrating, could live a great life anywhere in the world because he has millions of dollars, he's in love and newly married, he could have made more money working half of the hours as a commentary dude. He had every imaginable option available.
But he decided to come back. And I think he resents last year and has a chip on his shoulder and I think that's going to improve him.
I like this teams chances with a PO'd McVay. I think the offense is going to be different than anything that we have seen from him and I think it's going to be elevated.
