McVay has done just enough during his tenure for me to not write his team off. I'm one of those, (used to think the majority opinion but today I'm not so sure) that believes last year was predominantly, nearly entirely, due to injuries. There "WERE" other factors... none in my opinion rising to the level of the injuries.
I don't think McVay is wedded to a system other than, perhaps, once the season has started. IOW... I'm not sure what McVay has in mind for the O this coming year, or the D for that matter... and it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see an entirely new offensive AND defensive game plan in 2023. You might say - a concerted attempt to combat the "The rest of the league has caught on" achilles heel all that is 'new' suffers. If so...
It would be bold. I think few coaches in history have ever run their teams that way... I would put Belichick in that category but damn few others. - JamesJM
