Then let me say I'm not happy because it's June and we don't know who our starting LT, Center or RG will be. Do we have guys competing there? Sure. Does that mean the best ones will start? I hope so. But I don't know how anyone can look at this and call it "good". It's absolutely not. I'm hopeful it works out, but as I've stated many times, hope isn't a great strategy. It's what you're left with when your strategy fails.
Do we have a good coach on the line? I hope so. But letting guys play so you can start the ones you think are best isn't indicative of good coaching. It's what you do when you don't have quality starters.
Look, I'm super happy we drafted linemen and figured we needed to put some emphasis on building a line. But this is a project. There's no way I can see how that's progressing until they start lining up against other teams. I just don't see how anyone can step back and say they are happy with the "progress" here when we haven't seen one sliver of results, and won't for a few months, if the starters even play.
