I really am hoping that McVay plays our OL in the preseason, but training camp and hitting need to happen before I forget last year's injury debacle. At least the Rams added resources in Avila, McClendon and UDFA OC Mike McAlister (whom McVay praised recently). And I have high hopes for wha Coach Wendy can do. But right now all I see is that they are trying to evaluate multiple positions for multiple players. That's a far cry from a seasoned "front 5" who can succeed as a cohesive OL group and not a set of individuals. My biggest concern is not having Noteboom/Allen starting, as they are both injuries just waiting to happen.
There will be some new pieces on the OL this year. They will need to get some continuity and get familiar with who they will be playing next to.
If they spend all preseason mixing and matching the OL, they will still be "feeling each other out" by week 5.
I hope they figure it out asap so the starters can get as many reps together prior to the season as they can.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
