I don't think they will, it's just not in McVay's DNA, but it sure looks like a growing pains year with half the team being rookies ....
going 7-10 or 8-9 would be respectable considering all of the above, but it would be a disaster for draft status in trying to get CW.
Should Rams stumble out of the blocks and start say 1-4, would you rather they try to trade Stafford away and let SB get some playing time and hope we end up with the number one pick in 2024?
Obviuosly we'd all rather have them be in the playoffs, but I'd almost rather go 2-15 and lock up CW then go 8-9 and miss out on both the playoffs and a shot at one of the top players in the draft.
I think the Rams will be much better than most people think in 2023 and will have legit shot at playoffs, but won't be too upset and we get the number one pick in 2024
