I like her writing quite a bit, but I also was a big fan of Jim Thomas' just the facts approach. For example, I thought her piece on McVay's mental disengagement from the team over the course of the season, then re-engagement, was really good and insightful.
Crazy thing to me is that we never talk about the LA Times beat writer for the Rams...seems like they have not had one since the Rams came back to LA. I never read good stuff about the Rams in the Times.
I think the ideal combo was at the STL Post-Dispatch with Thomas as the beat writer and Bernie Miklasz as the opinion columnist. Get the facts + a (sometimes wrong!) perspective on where team was heading. Jourdan kind of falls in the middle with her longer form pieces.
I do like Jourdan better than I did that trouble make Bernie Miklasz. That guy was a narcissistic POS.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
