She knows the game very well. Her focus is typically more the why and undercurrents of what's going vs. "breaking news." She writes longer narratives about where they're going. It's simply a different job.
I'm glad she is less of a homer than Vinny B. was (who was good overall). And she's way more than just-the-facts Jim Thomas was in STL.
