You've kind of reinforced what I suspected about Hardy. Looks like a real athlete, ton of desire... what else? Young may have more of what we need right now and I can't assess his intangibles, as they're called, from here.
Hardy's intangibles? I wish we could spread 'em around. The desire, work ethic, and the depth of character it takes to get motivated, stay motivated, work hard every day, dig deep inside himself to make that one play, complete that one drill, grind out one more rep, is all there. It'll be interesting to see how far that takes him, especially when a well-trained player from a bigger program - whose intangible (to me anyway) are unknown, comes along. Let the competition begin.
There's probably another football movie script in there somewhere. I'm really interested to see how this one plays out.
