Floor: 3 wins, Ceiling 7 wins.
QB: Push. I think Mayfield is better than Bennet.
RB: Push. We had what's his name for a while last season.
OL. Huge upgrade.
TE. Push. Rookies typically don't contribute much during their first year.
WR. Upgrade. Skow and Atwell having more exp.
Edge. Downgrade.
DL. Downgrade
IOL. Big downgrade.
CB. Big downgrade.
S. Push
P. I don't know.
PK. Downgrade
ST: I don't know. overall maybe slight downgrade.
Coaching: Downgrade. Lost too many experienced coaches.
I don't have high expectations for this year and I'm okay with that result. I feel more confident than ever in McSnead. I like McVay now more than ever and the draft increased my confidence in Team Rams. I'm feeling pretty good and overall very optimistic. Long gone at the Jeff Fisher days. This has been a super great new Ram's era under McVay.
We have some substantially different impressions on several of these positions, Coy.
QB. Bennet is substantially better than Wolford/Perkins. Mayfield was never permanent, turned out to be a 5 game rental that was then immediately unaffordable.
RB. This Evans kid looks better to me than Henderson/Rivers.
TE. You don’t think that adding Allen and Long to last years 2-man TE corps is an upgrade? We could scarcely run 12 sets last year and were using Skow as a semi-TE. WTH were they thinking?
Edge. Might be downgrade. Then again, maybe not. Floyd wasn’t exactly All World last year. Hoecht should be better after gaining some experience and this Young kid is intriguing.
P. You don’t think Ethan Evans is a big upgrade over Dixon? I sure do.
ST. I see Blackburn as a big upgrade over DeCammillis.
Coaching. Here’s my biggest disagreement with your take. These new asst coaches seem light years ahead of their disappointing ‘22 counterparts. I mean, I think McVay hit several HR’s among these 11 new guys. Too many to mention.
We can agree to disagree here, of course. Only time will tell how this all sorts itself out. But for now you can color me optimistic on many fronts.
