My take:
Priority 1: get the cap healthy in 2023 in preparation for some serious roster building in 2024
Priority 2: win as many games as they can in 2023 without compromising Priority 1
For me, that second priority hinges on a lot of things. How good was this draft? How good will the coaching staff be in getting guys up to speed? Can they stay healthy this year?
I have no idea how many games the Rams will win this year but I would bet every dollar I have that they try their best to win every game. I think that's the way McVay is wired, and I think he does a good job of filling out his staff with guys who feel the same way, who then get the players to buy in up and down the roster.
Then you have team leaders like Stafford, Kupp, and Donald. I don't think they have an ounce of quit among the three of them. You will see 100% effort from all three and that carries a lot of influence with their teammates to do the same.
I suspect this team will be a lot of fun to watch this year as we see the foundation being laid for the next SB run.
