For 3 years we have had a grouping including Wolford and Perkins. Some here were so glad we had Wolford when it looked like the O was totally stagnant towards the end with Jared. Then the truth came out with Wolford, he was what you saw, there was no growth to occur. On comes Perkins and some said he deserved a shot, he was so athletic, could use his legs. then reality hit with him and he was all he could be, a runner with poor pass ability. On comes Mayfield, the guy in white armor, except he wanted to start and out he went.
So we pick a QB in Stetson, but he could have been had later, he isn't worthy etc......The guy is better then our 2 misfits ever were, and he can be IMO everything that Mayfield offered at a MUCH cheaper price. He's won 2 championships and his arm got them there, he wasn't just a game manager. Not saying at all he is our future starter, but his job right now is to be the backup, and I think he can do that as well as Mayfield, maybe even better and he is heads and shoulders above Perk and Wolf.
