Andrews from Nebraska & Brudzinski from Ohio State. Brudzinski went on with the Dolphins, but was not as good in Miami as he was in Los Angeles. Brudzinski replaced the popular Isiah "Butch" Robertson. Robertson was one of the players responsible for getting George Allen fired after two preseason games in 1978. Robertson did not like the stringent practices invoked by Allen and actually held out I believe until they made the change to Ray Malavasi.
For the Rams Brudzinski was on the right side in a 4-3 defense. With Miami he played in a 3-4. he was actually good there, but not as good as with LA. In the other post I suggested he was a 7 with the Rams (calling Lawrence Taylor a 10) and Andrews and Owens 6s
I think in Miami Brudzinski would maybe be a 6.5 - ballpark or even as low as a 6--he became good, not special.
Allen, I read, traded Robertson somewhere but it was canceled and that was part of the whole fiasco and Allen was fired.
The the next year he was traded to Buffalo.
In 1978 Robertson got benched and Brudzinski played in the normal defense and Robertson would play in passing situations...
With Rams, in my opinion, using the 1-10 scale, Robertson was an 8 or so, he was great in his prime
