As the late, great Chick Hearn would say, “It’s Nervous Time” for Rams D as we look down the road.

And the public strategy has been stated that offseason focus is on the O. Go figure.

As I posted elsewhere, I see a minimum of the following for D this offseason via either draft or 2nd tier FA:

Edge (Hoecht starts on other side)
DL (probably draft)
CB (maybe 2, as you say)
S (later in draft, maybe even udfa)

That looks like 4-5 draft picks of our 11 to me. And I think that’s bare bones minimum that may require supplementation with 2nd-3rd tier FA’s late before opening day.

Somehow, this vaunted ‘23 O that they’re talking about must come from some combo of the other 6 draft picks or 2nd tier FA’s of their own. Sigh…

Seems like a TALL order, huh?
