The Rams were not only over the 2023 cap before the recent purge, they were also over the 2024 cap as well - just about $3M over, in fact.

The $61.2M savings against the 2024 cap currently leaves the Rams at $58.53M under the 2024 cap (as per [overthecap.com] )

Edit: lol And now that I read the article in the original post I see that they covered this. From the article: "And you can’t deny that it’s working. By trading Ramsey and cutting Wagner and Floyd, the Rams have already cleared $61.2 million in cap space for 2024. Over The Cap now projects them to have $58.5 million in cap room next year, 22nd in the NFL."
