Perhaps we could have still won a SB in 2021 perhaps still close and guess what? We would be deeper healthier and would have been primed to retool at the QB position this year regardless. Think of the possibilities if Jared was not traded before 2021. Oh yah we got a SB. I barely remember it because of the dreadful 2022 season. Instead last year was a massive failure and I personally rather be a superior perennial SB contender every year rather than a mercurial one and done and now is forced to remodel on a budget. Guess what, Jared is playing some of his best ball and has grown on a perennial loser and is very cheap today.
Was is coaching that was too ambitious that did that or just good ole fashion coaching and communication?

This is why I hope the Rams organization is satisfied with not being a contender for a while barring a miracle. I am not satisfied with just 2021. I want to be in the game and we now have to just standby and observe others. Don't talk to me about 2024 or 2025 will be our year because we blew up our cap. We did it on a whim and guess what we could have done more. Goff could have been in horns competing for a SB in 2021, 2022 and yes 2023.

Well fortunately "the we could have" can't change or predict the past but our Cap nightmare was our doing we did it to our self. F them picks we chanted now F ourselves? I sure hope not!

Although Matthew Stafford made several mistakes midway through the 2021 season and into the playoffs, I don't believe that Jared Goff:

A) would've completed (or even dared to attempt) that last second bomb to Kupp in the Divisional playoffs against the Bucs;

B ) would've stood tall when needed against the 9'ers in the NFCCG; or,

C) would've stood tall when needed in the Super Bowl.

With that said, McSnead were clearly impulsive in terms of their decision-making with acquiring Allen Robinson and trading away Robert Woods.

Equally problematic, though, was their utter hubris in thinking that (even absent the injuries to the unit) the offensive line was even close to being a unit that could compete deep into the playoffs. Week 1 against the Bills proved that.

  No one but Snead and Kroenke will know why McVay no longer wanted Goff
