They went and signed/drafted a load of quality OL.
A good QB can be even better behind a great OL. Look what happened in this years SB, Eagles vaunted pass rush just didn't really have an impact.
And looking at 49ers..... how many big name RBs hVe had great running behind a big bully boy OL.
If I would wish for anything from McVay and Snead.... it is to invest in OL that can take the game in their hands and watch how everything else clicks into place.
Not least keeping our aging and more brittle QB protected so we can have him play at a high level for a good few more years. The cap hits if he retires on the next year or two will be brutal!
