As time goes on, I am losing confidence in Snead and McVay having the foresight and ability to return the Rams to a top contender in the NFC. They need to find 3 quality OL starters this off season.
Actually, we don’t require 3 new starters, but we do need 2, imo.
Allen MUST be upgraded.. can’t stay healthy anyway.
A new LG via FA or draft is probably required. Needn’t be an All Pro type, either, but must be solid.
Here’s your winning 2023 OL:
Jackson
FA or Day 2 draft pick
FA or Day 2 draft pick
Anchrum, Bruss, Brewer
Hav
Losing Shelton cost Rams an OC option but it is what it is.
Once Boom is healthy he could be our LOT starter freeing up Jackson for either OG position.
I’m hopeful that our new OL coach can maximize OL production.
If Ramsey is traded, and I hope he isn’t, then Rams will gain at least 2 premium picks in this draft to help out. ‘Course, one of them would have to be a CB, right? Sigh…
if JR is traded I hope we get two high picks, one of them in 2024. Need draft ammo next season when the plan very likely will be to draft one of the top QBs coming out to eventually replace Stafford.
For this year I would try hard to sign a veteran LOT in free agency. I know the cap situation is tough but if Demoff and Snead can do it that would be the positon to spent on. Both our SB teams have been ankered with great LOT in Pace and Whit. Why not get lucky a third time ?
Going that route you not only upgrade LOT but at least one more position because Jackson can then move to guard. The trickle down effect would be excellent.
my line: Free agent LOT. Jackson. Rookie. Bruss. Hav.
Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
