Two things, really.
1. I’ve rewatched several games in the last few days and I’ve gotta say that Hopkins has shown up well when given snaps. He blocks better than I remember and he catches balls thrown to him quite well despite lack of accuracy by Wolford and Mayfield. I honestly think he was underused and undertargeted for most of the season while sitting right there under the nose of McVay and a variety of 4 Ram QB’s.
2. Having said that, Rams must take advantage of this TE draft class. Higbee and Hopkins aren’t gonna be around much longer so taking 2 TE’s might be a very wise Ram strategy. That room has been neglected for far too long.
