Robinson's talent didn't just disappear. Stafford and Robinson never got on the same page probably due to the elbow and lack of throws in the off season. The offense had many issues but Stafford only seemed comfortable with Kupp and to some extent Higbee and didn't seem to zero in on anyone else. Gotta fix that and become much more unpredictable.
McVay offense prides itself on all the the different things they can do out of the same look but last year they were boring and predictable which only exabaserates the issues with the offensive line. Creativity just disappeared until Baker Mayfield arrived. Once Baker arrived they had not choice but to dig deep, teach and become creative again.
Key for next season on the offense is for Stafford and McVay to get back in sync and use the whole field. You need a deep threat? Don't wait until November to insert Tutu to loosen things up, Spread the ball around, and make the defense guess what you are going to do. Even Jerry Rice wouldn't be great if he didn't get targeted.
The line injuries and poor performance was a big issue but the RB coach sucked, the offensive creativity sucked and the QB play sucked. Which of course caused the offense to suck. Robinson wasn't the biggest problem but more of a symptom to the overall malaise of an offense that was just terrible.
