After all, it's not like Morris's D fell apart and was really bad. It was a playoff caliber defense. As we all know, it was the offense that was the real problem last year.

I would be ok if he stayed and just stopped running so much of that Charmin Shell prevent defense.

Having said that, it doesn't mean that the D could be even better. Whether that's with Morris or without him, I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised if McVay thought he could do better than Morris too.

I honestly think that if Morris was "hired" by someone BEFORE Fangio was hired, Fangio would be our DC right now.

McVay really wanted the "Fangio system" so much that he asked someone who never ran it before to coordinate it for him. Now, was McVay happy with how Morris ran the Fangio system? Who knows.

Either way I think McVay is fine with Morris staying as DC if it comes down to that and I think that is exactly what it will come down to.

I don't see any team hiring Morris away from us to be their HC. Maybe the Colts since they are a mess anyway but other than that I don't side anyone else being interested in Morris no matter how good some may want you to believe. The "Book of Morris" has been written and read by every team in the league and lack the interest in his services is quite evident.
