I think he will be fine. He will only help McVay. McVay will still call the plays IMO but will listen to his input.

We will see a glimpse of his play calling prowess in the Pre Season since McVay never calls the plays during those games.

If all goes well, he will be "poached" in a year or two and will be a HC on another team just like "almost" every other one of our coaches under the McVay tree have been.

This dude just hit the lottery!
