Rampage2K-
amazing how that works when an OL actually plays more than one game together as a unit and the coach actually doesn't sub you out every other series and lets you get into a rhythm ..
It also isn't a coincident that Thomas Brown took back over coaching the RB's and Sample left town
Cam finished the year with three straight 100+ rushing games...Todd Gurley did that back in 2015 was the last time a Rams RB did that.
I just don't get why you'd want to trade him now?
Because his value is as high as it's going to be.
And I never argued with what you state above, but I do see again that I've yet to see a response to the fact that he has an attitude problem. Some act like that's not a thing. He wanted off the team. You don't see that as an issue? He's all better now? OK. Kinda like the girl that cheated on you- she'll nevvver do that again, right? Well, if you trust that, then fine. I don't. He was all better when we shipped DHen off, wasn't he? What happens if/ when that changes? I'm pretty sure we know the answer to that. Sorry, don't like us hanging our hat on a "me" guy, when we preach the "we". Get the pick in a deep draft class and get a "we" player. There's plenty of good ones.
Rams have Akers under contract for one more season. It would be beyond foolish to offload him now, especially after the way he finished 2022.
Rams will draft another RB from this deep draft and then we’ll see about Akers’ future in ‘24.
Personally, I do not favor giving 2nd contracts to RB’s except for elite HOF’er types. And even then I’m squeamish. RB’s just don’t generally have a long shelf life.
