The whole premise of the term suggest inferior when classified as minority and superior when classified as majority.
It is only correct if using it to compare opportunities, options and support.
These things are subtle and may seem to be petty but I am continually reminded when I think of potential Head coaches and use historical knowledge. Ask me who some of the great coaches are and my pool of them will have a dramatic slant towards those that do not resemble me.
This is where the biases kick in that do not reflect even my own desire to see more Black, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific Island influences.
Not a time to label each other or devide but to understand the complexity of our past as it relates to current times and our culture.
