I;ve made the case before that "qb money" in real terms is high 20s. The reasoning was that you have to compare 2nd contracts to 2nd contracts, and in 2018 the 2nd contract amount for qbs was around 28 M.
The mid-20s was reached in 2016 when Luck signed for 24.5 M.
In 2015 Wilson signed for 22 M.
So if you're just mid-20s (say for the sake of conversation 24 M), you've surpassed Wilson from 2015, and approached Luck from 2016. Is that "qb money"
in 2018?I think the press is pretty spotty on this. They seem to use the term "qb money" for non-qbs to mean anything in the lows 20 s. But that was what Wilson got 4 contract years ago, so is it really "qb money" now, in 2018?
So I say qb money in 2018 is really 28 M and that it's doubtful Donald is asking for anything like that.

I agree in general terms with the case you've made. 25 is definitely not
current qb money.
However, no none qb is getting paid anywhere close to that and it is right in the middle of a great many qb salaries, so if someone described it as qb money, I get it.
Of course if you use this latter definition of qb money, then several none qb's have gotten qb money in the past already. Ultimately, that's why I favor your definition of the term.
