Rams could have doubled down and gotten an entire draft for that #2 pick who turned out to be just a guy that piddled in the league for a few years.
Even the best case scenario on that pick, develop a guy for the end of a 1st contract where you may lose him, makes no sense.
and to boot, it was not a playmaking position which is what a top 5 pick should be. Somebody who touches the ball or rushes the passer.
Fisher was a good hire for the first 2 years to get the Rams respectable again. He is a 7-9 type of coach, but you can't win without any offense whatsoever which is what he tries to do.
So I say the Robinson pick. What could have been had the Rams traded that pick for a couple of 1st rounders, a 2nd rounder, etc. or in some cases 4 or 5 picks with some of them high picks.
