without signing Donald will create a war, especially if Donald is not extended.
Then, I could actually see Donald holding out and missing games during the season.
Signing Suh all but eats up the cap space required to sign Donald unless the Rams can get Donald signed for less than a $10 million cap hit in 2018.
Spags is reacting to the very adament assertion that there is just no way that Suh would be signed by the Rams when all along he and others said it
could happen.
The Rams bringing him in for a visit shows interest which indicates that he was right. It could happen. In the light of the forcefulness of shooting down the possibility, Spags is feeling a bit vindicated.
It has nothing to do with cap space, Donald or the issues you raise.
Does Suh taking a visit signify that it could happen?
This reminds ME of a previous discussion regarding free agency and entertaining a companies interest.
Are you listening with keen interest, or are you basking in the attention?
Hmmmmm
Your theory could also be the reason for the visit. The key word is
could and it applies for every theory.
I don't think any possibilities can be eliminated.
I believe the visit signifies that he could sign for several reasons.
If it was only to entertain a companies interest, why not have a couple of phone conversations like he did with Pete Carrol? Seattle has a greater need than we do.
Gonzalez said it appears he's not hearing the right dollar amounts. Vinny said that once he didn't go in phase 1, the price comes down, hence the Rams interest. Now it could all be for business reasons, but you have two people who are connected to the Rams suggesting differently.
Lastly, why waste all this time? Kicking the tires is usually done when someone may buy the car if the price and everything else is right.
