behind Gurley. Simply put, the Rams need to add players that can make a play, not subtract.
It is magnified by the fact that the actual offense is so bad and creates no competitive opportunities for players. It is all on the players to make something out of nothing and Austin has the physical talent to make plays out of nothing. He is more valuable to somebody like the Rams than teams that are more competent on offense.
I do agree that the is overpaid, but there really isn't a good door #2 at this point or near future. Money will be going to Donald, Quinn, and etc coming up for future contracts, high draft picks gone for next year.
