And maybe his hire was by design after all. Fish has been moving pieces on the board with the O since the Shott "promotion" (and not always for the better). If he happens to hit on this hire, a promotion and "reassignment" for Boras would not at all be out of bounds or outside his MO. We're already getting spoon fed media articles about how much these two get along, but if this O somehow takes off early season, you know which guy is going to get the credit. Not predicting drama in this, just that I don't think Fish is as "married" to his staff as is sometimes pointed out.
The Fisher offense was always more balanced than run-heavy Chicago's was last year.
The irony here is that as Goff gets up to speed, Groh will be part of an offense that throws more (when it has the qb) than Gase did in Chicago.
I don't know why people have this stereotype that the Fisher Rams offense is run-heavy. It wasn't until last year, and that was IMO because of Foles and Keenum. I don't know why people have that stereotype, because, frankly, the stereotype is denied by the numbers. Fisher's Rams offense was always more balanced.
It will be again when Goff has his feet under him.
