Fish isn't going to fire Boras if the offense executes well. An OC job, meanwhile, will be an upgrade over what Groh does now with the Rams, in running the whole show. Lastly, Fish is more like Fox than he is Green Bay, in that he doesn't stand in the way of coaches interviewing for upgraded positions.
My hope IF this offense greatly improves is that they give Groh a big pay hike and manage to keep him. But in that event given how terrible this offense has been not only is Groh going to get play in OC circles but Boras will get looks by offensive-mind-hungry owners.
IMO Groh is one of those coaches' kids who inherited his dad's ability. I don't think we're gonna have him around for long, but if it happens the way I expect it's a good thing and means this offense is finally on the upswing.
