earlier today. I liked it a more than the first one and again.... these movies are, as you mentioned, extremely well made and acted. No third movie, however... so now I'm back to perusing Netflix, Hulu, Prime, HBOMax, etc for something to watch. NOT fun when you're as picky as me. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
To be pressurized and safe you'd have to have your body enclosed as well as your head, right? I'm completely out of my element here... no idea how this stuff works. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'm enjoying them... mid-way thru the 2nd. i think there are only two. BUT... I'm not infatuated with them. I'm not sure why I don't like them more because: They are extremely well made and the acting is very good. The sets are amazingly beautiful. This is a movie(s) that fits everything I normally love about a movie but for whatever reason I'm kind of lackadaisical about them. Maybe itby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
the theaters with lounge seats, extra wide? Fresno has at least two...maybe more, I don't go to a movie theater often so I can't say. BUT... they are more expensive, quite a bit more... which means it's always easy to get seats AND the best seats in the theater. I have been.... ohhhh, maybe 3 or 4 times? I go to them when it's a movie I VERY much want to see.... ummm, last movie I saw wasby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I had it in my head it was like a body suit submarine.... but I could be completely wrong.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
that type where you're in a suit, (pressurized I think), and air is supplied from the surface? Do they even do that these days?by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Snowboarding should be illegal. It's not the board itself... it's the attitude. :laughing When it was only ski's the only worry I ever had about hitting another skier was running into a beginner who had lost control; and that almost never happened because they weren't on the same runs I was one.... well, unless I was going all the way down to the lodge in which case you have to ski some begiby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

although for different reasons. Reasons I did not foresee... caught me blindsided. I simply don't have that desire anymore. No need, or at least very little, to test myself. To challenge myself... instead... Swoosh with serenity. Words of anathema to youth. :laughing I can remember skiing with near hysteria to get in as many runs in a day as I could.... and now? I don't even count.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
one of those bargain basement bins. I wear athletic socks, white, 90% of the time. My favorite socks... Are my backpacking socks. Merino Wool. Expensive and worth every penny. I do own some dress socks but damn few, maybe 2 pair... brown pair and black pair. Might need them 2 times per year.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
well, not literally. But every summer my family spent 2 weeks there... well, My dad was back and forth to our campground because he had farming to do. A few summers we camped there for a month. I met my first girlfriend there.... we were maybe 9 years old or so? We roamed the valley from dawn til late night... always watching the firefall together. I didn't ski at Badger until my mid-teeby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
would get me much closer to what I'm considering. I'll have to look into it... I'll report if I figure it out.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Way back... actually I probably skied there more than that. Friend of mine, even older than me, and I used to go there every so often. We liked it a LOT. I don't remember it all that well, however, as far as specifics... what I remember well about it are the good times. I don't think it's as big as China, at least not as many difficult runs, perhaps more runs. Also it wasn't that well knby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
well, of it anyway..... maybe a little more. Gang off their turf must get to their turf while pursued by rival gangs? That the one. I liked it.... but I really don't remember much about it except I think Deborah Van Valkenburgh was in it? I was thought she was very pretty.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but cell service at China Peak is very spotty... he only gets messages when he's either at the main lodge OR the mid-point of mountain.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
China Peak and Dodge Ridge are two separate ski resorts. Which is the one your granddaughter is racing at? - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I don't do stats... so I have no idea... What bothers me about our D is 'what seems to me', (could be wrong, stats may prove me wrong).... the time our D keeps our O off the field. No doubt our O, (especially this last season), did that to themselves for the most part but never the less it seems to me like we allow opposing O's to stay on the field too long.... even if they eventually stoby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm using just to 'get started'... I'm not expecting a lot. Once completed I'll get more serious about it and move on. I'm only a week into Babble... so I can't really judge their system at this time... BUT... I do 'suspect' that it's not as good as Pimsleur for a 'quick' intro to another language and the basics. I could be wrong, I'll see. But again, I'm not using Babble to get 'fluentby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
How can I not remember? Good question. :laughing I was not an Ozzy fan... then or now.... didn't think he was 'bad', just not my thing. BUT... my son, a teen at the time, loved him. I took him to a few concerts back then... band he loved and couldn't care less about. Sometimes I was impressed... sometimes not. I remember Iron Maiden impressed me. Ozzy? I don't remember. :laughinby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I think I've told you guys before that I'm pretty picky when it comes to music. Remember when I posted about how my wife annoys me because no matter WHICH song comes on the radio the first thing out of her mouth is "Oh don't turn this I like it". I'm not like that. :laughing So it happens to me often that a friend will like a specific type of song, or genre, or artist, and I do notby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Music is personal taste. Think I wrote about a friend of mine on this board once... his favorite musician EVER was Buck Owens. Now I'm not putting down Buck but Buck was NOT my cup of tea. I appreciate what the man did and accomplished... I didn't like his music... but my friend DID... actually, he LOVED him. Now I'm not comparing Buck and Bruce.... just saying each to their own... someby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'm sure you all know this... but have you done it? That is: Those Chinese boxes are made to unfold into a 'plate'....very creative those Chinese! I have never done it... it's on my bucket list. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
You can achieve as quickly as you want.... just put in the 'study'. A very quick way for the 'written' is to take one of the crash courses.... maybe one weekend? Read the Private Pilots manual once all the way thru then take the course... which includes the test (official) at the end of the last day of the course. You'll pass with flying colors! I didn't take a course like that when I first pby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Yeah, I'm pretty much busting with pride. I'm not sure I've taken it in yet... it's a very prestigious honor. And hey... I was awarded an honor like that once... I was on the very first championship Bocci Ball team at the Dante Club in Fresno. :laughing Ok, ok... so that doesn't compare.... doesn't stop be from bragging however. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Hope you don't mind my take off on your topic.... which was great! Love your Governor's reply. You revealed something to me that I was oblivious too.... your weather. Until this board, and meeting you, I had NO IDEA it got so cold and that the winters were so harsh in Iowa. In my mind I had Iowa placed 'mid-country', (as far as North and South), which it IS albeit the north part of midby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I restarted a quest I've had my entire life... never completed it. I want to learn how to speak Italian... IOW, learn a 2nd language. I learned enough French back in about 2006 to be conversational. Did so because I was going to visit one of our foreign exchange students, and her family. I did well... I would say I achieved a little more than mere 'conversational'. I don't think it's ever 'too late'. Probably the only real stumbling block is thinking it's too late. That reminds me of something - related to this topic but in another thread, which I'll write now. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
What I mean by that is: Cooper is going to do everything he can do to return to form.... no attitude problem or work ethic problem with this guy. I think we have several players in this category. As for the injury itself... that's a worry, somewhat.... no different than any injury.... but if one CAN recover fully Cooper will.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
This is Ashton, my 4th oldest grandson, (I have 6 grandsons, 1 granddaughter). It's different... or at least it is to me. It's given by the San Joaquin Valley Officials (Sports). For those who don't know... the San Joaquin Valley is the center of Calif... a huge area. It represents 130 High Schools. This is the first time the award has ever been given... it is now an annual award. One mby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
