Never really followed your team closely but knowing that you do.... coupled with my penchant for preferring those teams NOT really glorified in the media.. ala Alabama, Clemson... you've given me another team I can root for. Plus... they're in the "Heartland"... and that's always a good thing. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Youth Jr's.. grandson scores 2 TD's and 1 Int. So all in all a phenomenal weekend of family sports concluded... AHHHHH, BUT.... One must be humbled.... and today will test me. Family Reunion time! My Mom's side of the family. During my life I've never been very close to that side of my family... they didn't live nearby the way my Dad's side of the family did. And mostly... they are of a dby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
It is one thing to 'say' you're moving forward with the 'plan as is' and it's quite another to do it in real time. I believe McVay possesses a strong 'trust' demeanor coupled with a smidgeon of "gotta get this guy more plays" loyalty. All coaches do - my point being it's a bit stronger in McVay. If in his heart he doesn't have complete faith that any specific play call, player, isn'tby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
It's a tight race. There are some things in which I think one of the ones below Murray top him. For example: I think Stafford reads better than Murray.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

Because that is incredible, (SB your first Ram game).... and there is NO chance I would have forgotten that... if you told it before I just missed it.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I never get tired of reading these. So you knew football pretty well before becoming a Ram's fan... I assume because you hated the Cowboys. I didn't know football all that well when I became a fan. Football on TV was new to me. My Dad was NOT a sports fan except for the Indy 500 and Boxing. So on TV we were mostly a "Westerns" watching family with the occasional Indy and Heavyweighby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but it's the same outfit and was taken on the same day. The "King" this year was an upset winner. (Obviously I was told this.. how would I know?) Syd's escort was the favorite, or that was the rumor, and he failed... BUT, he got his first TD of the year just after halftime so I don't think he gave a flying rat's ass about the "king" thing. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
About 2 years ago she got into cooking. This last year she started a charcuterie business.. (doing VERY well, couple grand a month). And SOOO.... I took her to a local Italian Deli for the first time, I'd been going to it for years. It's about 40 miles from our homes. She loved it. She always picks out my wine... she goes by how pretty the label is and believe it or not... that works forby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
A specific one, or at least a primary one among other reasons? I don't.. at least not that I can recall. Most people have said the "Horns" when talking about this in year's past. That may have been it for me, always loved those Horns, but I don't remember that being the reason. So this is a guess.. but it's an educated guess. First game I ever saw was on a B&W TV... 1958by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I thought they set the tone for the clothing manufacturers and the coming year... not 'exactly' but a basic look. Your explanation makes sense now.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
No, she's not the youngest. She's the 4th oldest of 7. Age in the photo? I don't know. I'm the worst at that. You tell me: Our Homecoming... again, I'm the worst to ask. I know they go all out for it. Each class builds a 'float'... on flatbeds pulled by a semi-trailer truck. Then there are clubs, etc. The marching band. My grandfather, and Italian immigrant, came here and started his own farm. He built everything himself.. the barns, sheds, even the home I lived in for the first 10 years of my life. Connected to one of the barns... we had 6, was his workspace - supplies (wood, nails, tools, etc). By the time my Dad was in his teens they had lost most need for 'doing it yourself'. By the time I was born we diby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'm exaggerating... but I would imagine I built a dozen of them. I live in the flattest place on earth. Around here a two foot mound we call a hill... 5' is an unscalable mountain. Behind my shop we have a loading ramp. Large chunk of concrete maybe 4' high. Used to load equipment on flatbeds. THAT was my soap box mountain. Women. Every so often I'll see a photo of "Women's Latest Fashions" taken at some ultra-famous fashion show... the ones where the ladies parade down a walkway. So here's my question - Those are the oddest clothes, every time I see them, EVER.... and i have never once in my life seen anyone wearing anything like them. There's just something about you I like. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
"If he plays on it can he hurt it any worse?".... if the answer to that is no... I'd play him. I have no idea what, what was it again? Mallet Finger? I have no idea if that's serious or just a painful boo-boo. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Need to put it into perspective, however. My grandson's Varsity team is having an abysmal year... 0-6 going into tonight and not just losses... we were crushed in ALL 6 of them. My grandson, however, is having a great year... leading QB in his league in passing and maybe 2nd in rushing. Well, we won. Ashton threw 2 TD passes and rushed for 2 more. He also had 2 TD's called back onby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I think people are giving their honest assessments... and that can definitely lean to the negative. Think of it as 'tough love'. But where I agree with you in part - - - Here's an example: I didn't see the game, and I haven't watched a rerun of it as yet, (you can bet I will), so my 'impression' by getting game notifications and having seen the stats doesn't really match the consensus taby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

And I love them. But they do present me with a problem.... our High School game is tonight and our Color is RED... while our opponent's is BLUE. So what would you do? And keep in mind my grandson will be QB'ing our High School. My wife just told me, "No one is going to have any idea who he is"... I can't believe this is even a topic, much less a hot one. For the record... Candy Corn is not fit for human consumption. It's NOT candy, it's unflavored wax.... probably harvested from spent birthday candles. Dyed from used Bengals uniforms. I don't get it but most people, IMHO, do not like being called out for their accent. That makes no sense to me.... to me a heavy accent should be one of your most prideful characteristics. I think they believe you're 'making fun of them'... which I suppose happens... but if I notice you have an accent and mention it it's out of pure respect and admiration. that's a rare gift. Lot of people 'think' they can but in reality they aren't very good. People who can truly mimic accents SHOULD be asked to entertain. :laughing One of my grandkids is not bad and getting better by the day.
