You know, that's really funny! But I don't feel sorry for the 9er fans.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Roman Gabriel. My goodness what a lame article. Most people, including many 9er fans thought the trade for Lance was incredibly stupid. Everybody carried water for him during preseason. He was mediocre in his debut and subsequent play. I think he would be a fine #3 QB someplace but suggesting he be our QB of the future! That would be doubling down on stupid.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
In the pendulum swing to cost cutting they erred and lost out on Gaines. I think they should have kept A-Shawn Rob. (DT) as well. It's no mystery that the trenches control a lot of the game, and those two guys would not have been that expensive.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
43, lol, nobody who knows you is going to call you a chicken little. Your glasses are rosy. It's refreshing to read your troubled, critical posts; you are thoughtful, accurate, and real. Just don't take all this preseason stuff so serious. Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Look, you ain't Paul Simon and these Rams ain't Cecilia. This is preseason. Even my emotions don't get moved one way or another much. Football fans are notorious for believing their rookies are going to tear other teams up. Even the Temptations knew enough to question Just My Imagination. This is not the time to be doubtful, dispirited, or depressed. That time is coming... :cryby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agree. All the woulda, coulda, shoulda, what ifs, points, comments, counterpoints, etc. are irrelevant. Our leadership sold out to win to the best of their ability. It worked and the rest is history. It is so difficult to win that ring, you gotta have a hard core, sold out attitude to really be smart and strive to win, (which Detroit doesn't have), and go for it when you haveby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
ESPN went to the dogs a long time ago. They're not worth reading IMHO.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I sure appreciate it. I've saved the info to learn and have for future ref. It's so nice to be able to understand all the terminology. Thank you for going to the trouble. Blessings,by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm glad that he's big and a proven dependable RB. I think he's going to do pretty good for us during this difficult year. Great signing.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, Stan is a great owner. I'm impressed at how well he's done in so many diff. sports. We're fortunate to have him as the Rams' owner.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that with Kupp, Jefferson, and Skow, we're good enough. Jeff. and Skow. have both shown themselves as being able to make some tough catches. Earlier I had doubts about Skow but the more I watched him the more confident I felt in him. I'm more worried about the O and D lines, and the DBs.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Did he mean league wide or just for the Rams? 1) Isn't the RB trend going towards less running? Some of the premium RBs are now being stiffed relatively. I believe McVay has minimized the RB and running value overall but sometime two or so years ago he began to value it a little more. Just not where I think it should be. 2) McVay's recent moves do NOT tell me that now he increasing hisby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, letting him go for just a million or so was a bad mistake. I thought he contributed a lot more than he got credit for. It seems like the Rams FO gets on a swinging pendulum and this time it swung to far into the "cost cutting" mentality.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

"-it will be better in 2014 than 2013...that's my prediction" By the way, I agree completely.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It hints at collusion amongst the owners which if true and exposed could mean a black eye and possible financial damages. I think that the union is going to have to negotiate a better contract for the players regarding tags. It's a bad deal for great players when a team tags him for several million less than what he'd make as a FA and that during his prime money making years.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Great post Rock, I think you summed up the situation nicely. I like RBs and I think they're being squeezed by the owners but football, above all else, is a business. Players want to make as much money as they can, so do owners. It's greed war and that's a natural, human, thing to do. The game has changed and RBs are getting less now. Live with it or leave it.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Did McVay push him out, or did they clash, or did he have old-man reasons for moving on? I thought it was bad for our team to have lost him. His D. carried the team during the SB loss.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed. The owners are making their money and I don't begrudge the players, who's bodies take a terrible pounding, from making big bucks while they can.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
This article states that the injury rate is about the same, however, every player quoted said grass is so much better. Historically grass has always been superior to fake turf for fewer injuries but the gap has narrowed. I assumed that Stan would have done the football-smart thing and installed grass but he went with fake. I'm sure money and maintenance has a lot to do with it.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Generally I'd be fine with getting Goff again depending on price and if he's to be a back-up or starter. He's proven he has the arm and the skill to get a team to a SB when he's on a strong team with a solid O Line. Three concerns exist: 1) Will he prove that he's a solid enough QB to get a team to the playoffs when he doesn't have a superior Oline and receiving threats? This season seems toby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I woke up and fell outta bed. Then I dragged a comb across my head. Found my way downstairs and drank a cup, then I looked up and saw that I was late. Found my coat and grabbed my hat, made the bus by a few seconds. At work I swung a multi-million dollar deal by taking the client rep. out to a nice lunch and gave him two tickets to the opera, and four tickets to Lions' games. Two thingsby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I'm not tired of saying "at least we won a SB!" Hell, I live in the Detroit area. You wanna look at things from their perspective? LOL, they're delighted that they has a winning season last year. I'd say they're still riding that high now and they are more positive than us Rams fans. They'd be satisfied with 9-8 season, and making the playoffs would be a pound of Argencove chby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't use the word "genius" against McVay like a sarcastic pejorative. Maybe I'm taking your criticism of him too strongly, but I don't think he's claimed to be a genius and IMO he's not a genius coach, but he's a top level coach. Yeah he has a big ego but when young men have that level of success it's easy for them to get puffed up. He's seen and admitted his faults and has workeby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't think highly of that pick. I was wrong. I didn't think highly of drafting Donald. I was wrong. I thought Robinson was a great draft pick. I was wrong.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
As quick as I am to poo-poo the Lions I think that they will do well this year. They play in a weaker division now and they've got talent, and got a monkey off their back last year and that momentum should carry forward under Campbell's coaching style. "Well" being defined as a winning season, i.e. 9-8 or better.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He typifies the death that bean counters bring to any business when they're given too much power. They focus on pinching pennies so much that degrade vital business and product aspects. Shaw is like American car makers compared to Japanese car makers. Poor quality, cheap products. It's one thing to get a cheap disposable commodity, but that'll never compete at the top level. I don't thinkby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Losing Wags and the two DTs makes us much, much weaker against the run. No knowledgeable person could argue against this logically. Looking at the numbers Gaines got, I'd say it was a fatal error to lose him for that cheap.
