Did he mean league wide or just for the Rams?
1) Isn't the RB trend going towards less running? Some of the premium RBs are now being stiffed relatively. I believe McVay has minimized the RB and running value overall but sometime two or so years ago he began to value it a little more. Just not where I think it should be.
2) McVay's recent moves do NOT tell me that now he increasing his attention and emphasis on the RB game. I really like Akers but the 2022 fiasco involving him, and McVay's failure to draft a big RB tells me the opposite. I don't think McVay has handled the overall RB status well. It's been a carousel. At best I think McVay is keeping his emphasis the same.
I've followed our running game strat. for a while and I've been disappointed that we haven't drafted or used a big Leo Fournette type back.
