... very-game/ Q&A: Todd Gurley on ’torturing’ himself, McVay’s brain and playing every game Image By Molly Knight It’s been a thrilling summer for sports in Los Angeles. The Lakers got Anthony Davis. The Clippers snagged Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. The Dodgers are thrashing their way through the National League. So it’s easy to forget about the Rams, the team that exceeded alby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I expect to see some blowout wins for the Rams. That’s when we might see Rapp, Long, Evans, and Edwards getting their valuable “experience snaps”. Maybe a few other players, as well. Let’s hope that they don’t come as injury replacements.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
And I’m a big Ike fan, too. Honestly, trying to limit such a list to just 4 players is a fool’s errand.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s Memento... Well, here is goes: QB - Jared Goff (starter), Blake Bortles. (No surprises here. Goff is obviously the starter, although Bortles is a huge upgrade over Mannion. Brandon Allen and John Wolford miss the cut.) RB - Todd Gurley (starter), Malcolm Brown, Darrell Henderson(KR/PR starter), John Kelly. (If Gurley's health issues - whatever they may be - manifest, I thinkby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Football Outsiders’ DVOA rankings for quarterbacks under pressure reiterate how important it is for Los Angeles Rams to protect QB Jared Goff Goff is essentially two different quarterbacks. The one with a clean pocket? One of the best in the NFL. The one under pressure? One of the worst. By 3k@3k_ Jul 8, 2019, ..The bigger issue is with Goff struggling against pressure. Quotecool_hand_luke Not sure there is a statement I could disagree with more. Personally I'm proud society appears to finally hold abusers to the law and protect women. Holding abusers to the law and protecting women is universally accepted, luke. Nobody is disagreeing with those things. But “innocent until proven guilty” still applies, doesn’t it? The Vikings’ stadium is a beauty, no doubt. But I think that the new Ram stadium will be a stunner, even more elegant. ‘Course, I COULD be a little bit biased here. Lol.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield "Had they been intimate in the past? Geez, I would feel okay with taking liberties with such a person ..." If taking "liberties" with someone means what I think you mean that to me is just plain wrong and presumably ("taking liberties") is non consensual and criminal behavior. Pure and simple. For example: Were these two friends? I mean, he was staying in her house, right? Had they been intimate in the past? Geez, I would feel okay with taking liberties with such a person that I would never dream of taking with a stranger. Did she object when she awoke? And, if so, did he stop immediately? As to her motive for pressing charges? You tell me. Maybe she “snapped” and now can’tby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams Q&A: Vinny Bonsignore ... -p-m-pt-3/ I still think they’ll be primarily 11 personnel, but not as much as in the past. I think there will be some diversity and different packaging. And yes, I think there will be an earnest effort to get Henderson and Everett more involved I think if they stay healthy they all reach 1000. Here’s Wildflecken... Can the 2019 Rams return to SB for 2nd consecutive season? 1.) Ownership is committed to winning. 2.) The front office and in particular the football operations are second to none. Do not undervalue the relationship between the GM and coaching staff. 10 NFL players with most to prove in training camp Before long, all 32 NFL teams will officially report to training camp in preparation for the 2019 regular season. It will be the beginning of a quest for Super Bowl LIV, and everyone should legitimately feel like they have a chance. Honestly, didn’t even feel like a quake here. But quakes are funny. My son lives only 12 miles away from me and even slightly further from the epicenter and yet he definitely felt it. Both households are over 100 miles from the epicenter, btw.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yahoo Sports: That in-person eye test can be huge in splitting hairs, it seems. Brad Holmes: Oh, yes. Like with the Rams here, I remember when we drafted Cooper Kupp. The first time I saw him live — I didn’t get a chance to make it to Eastern Washington his senior year, even though I did see him the prior year. NFL, NFLPA reportedly ramp up CBA negotiations eyeing a new deal before the 2019 season It's looking increasingly likely that a lockout will be avoided Even though the collective bargaining agreement doesn't expire until after the 2020 season, there appears to be an opportunity for the NFL and NFL Players Association to come to a new agreement not just before the current CBA expires, butby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed, fellas. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that Snead constantly kept a good “landing spot” for the Rams with each trade down. In the process he maximized value immensely. Want proof? When he had targeted players that he didn’t think might quite fall he happily traded up for Henderson and Gaines. Snead is hardly a strict “trade downer”. I love Les Snead. Some bold predictions by Jake, indeed. My responses: Rams O just might reclaim the #1 position, but I see the D rising to top 5 status, at most. Maaaaaybe Top 3, but that would be awesome. I think (and hope) that the Rams make Peters prove himself before granting a humongous extension. Could be as little as 6-8 games, but first he plays lights out, THEN he gets the big bucks. Been thinking about this and here’s the way I see both, in general... First, the D which is the unit that has been improved the most, I think. At Edge we have the ascending Fowler on one side and in a contract year. On the other side we will have a rotation of Matthews, Ebu, possibly Obo after his red shirt/ injured year. Maybe a surprise player will emerge, as well. Overall, an improvementby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
