Biog respects and congrats tgo Kyren! And who better for Kyren's role model than Steven Jackson, who never tired, never gave up, always gave his best for a club that too often played from behind, passed out of desperation, and couldn't sustain the drives to display his true greatness. I'll say it again: He's the Rams best all-time pure running back and deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
If he stnds 5'9" and runs a slower than 4.6 forty he fits the profile for Rams running backs, but at 219 he's about 20 lbs. too heavy. :lol1 About that profile: Time for McVay to get a new one.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
If you cringe like that over Kelly, I won't ask about him - and maybe dread our possibly signing him a little bit With Robinson, I have the same two nagging questions (cringe) when I hear that McVay is looking at a running back: How little is he? And how slow does he run? :imsorryby mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Stafford looks a little off, a few posters on the Gametime Forum noted. Now we know why. He's tough as nails. And we already knew that.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
This article answers all my questions, and covers other important areas. Who knows? If he's weak playing receivers off the line his instincts and ball skills might make him a great nickel back - oops, pardon me, star. We'll see how mmotivated he is when he hits town - and how well he fits into whatever role the Rams might have for him, and how fast he learns. Maybe not this year, but nextby mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
It's good to see you back, friend. Thanks for posting.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Me neither - and if he wasn't on the field for the few quarters of Commander football I caught this year I understand why. Thanks to all the bros here who shared what they knew about Forbes. No character issues raised their hads, he's not a dummie, and has the innate (speed, etc.) and non-coachable athletic gifts (instincts) to be a real contributor. Welcome aboard Emmanuel! What a greatby mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Know nothing about him - anybody here familiar? Like, is he 24 or 34 years old? 6' tall is good - does he weigh 204 pounds or 154? Speed, instincts, strengths, weaknesses - based on observation? Alyo, got anything? What could our coaching staff do with what he brings that wasn't done in Washington? What can he contribute?by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
What a great talent - potential career unrealized, but for one game... As we say, a dreaded nemesis for the Rams, but have to acknowledge: great football player.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
From what I know, or think I know at this point, McVay's passing O has a primary target and other reads after that. e.g. this play is designed to go to Kupp; that play is designed to go to Robinson, etc. Where, in what he calls, is the read to the TE? Does he reflexively call plays that do not have the TE as the first read? Second? It seems as well that McVay uses a tall Robinson with gooby mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
My view is that Williams should be used less than he is, and the Rams should run more. Keep Williams on game legs for the late season and hopefully playoff push. Give Corum more experience; make a better player of him; let coach catalog plays that let Corum utilize his best skills and call them more often for Corum. McVay sometimes seems like he's calling plays for robots.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Could he have got loose and continued to run? Might the tackler have slipped? Me, I would have swallowed my whistle until he was clearly down or stopped, and then marked forward progress at wherever his furthest forward progress happened to be. He was still clearly moving and not clearly within the grasp and unable to move. I'm glad (heh-heh :clap) that the ref and I agree and let the TD sby mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I hear ya, but to extend the topic of the thread (and address a real need) this team could use a John Riggins - and a coach who would let him play to his potential.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
There Fixed it for n both of ya. :stooges Seriously... if we get well we could win the division. What then? Who would we face and with what results? More sereious, what adjustments (besides getting everybody well) do the Rams need to make to play winning football against bona fide playoff-caliber teams?by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn't watch one play, but loks like Rams and SAints were evenly matched. :confused Take the win, move on. Seahawks with 7 wins, 49ers with five and hopefully up for a whuppion' from the Bills tonight, and we're currently tied with the Cards at 5, and nobody in our division as of now ready to withstand their first game of the playoffs. If we back into a division championship and suddenlyby mtramfan - Game Time Forum
Within that, two changes: He might call different passing plays - based upon what he's seeing on the field, what he's hearing in the huddle from a receiver, "Hey! I can beat him on a ....." Second, when he needs a play off to take a breather he might do a handoff or two, or wants to set up play-action, or sees something... or hears from a lineman, "Hey! I popped him real goodby mtramfan - Game Time Forum
In other words... nothing would change?by mtramfan - Game Time Forum
Let him call his own plays. Give him command of the huddle - couldn't hurt...by mtramfan - Game Time Forum
Does it seem to you that the Rams have more than their share of pre-season and early seson injuries? Seems that way to me and it seems to be a pattern.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Azeez Al-shahir? Sounds like a terrorist, not a football player. Maybe both.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Horns. You should be designing the unis, not the presumed, judging by his work, beta male (if that), fashion designer who's taking time off from his regular gig of designing men's handbags and slim tight-butt suits to do FOOTball uniforms. " Ewww," he must be saying." It's good money, but football? Ewww. Let's soften the look a little bit. Those horns might HURT somebody!&quoby mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
There are many causative factors to what we see from thye officials, including crowd-influenced hometown calls, human error, ineptitude, player bias (More often than you'd expect as orders from the top) and the influence of the gaming industry. I know there are some who deny this, but in Vegas the house always wins. When the book "Brat the Dealer" comes out, the house installs other wby mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
You need at least journemen in all five spots, and they have to gel as a unit. I can't emphasised that enough. And we don't have that, now. Among them it helps to have a leader, a very good if not great player. Two or three are better, and it helps to have two of them playing side-by-side anywhere along the line. We had good journeymen at three spots, annd Orlando Pace at LT and Adam Tommermaby mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com

Head coach was busy calling plays and had his back turned to the D on the bench, who were left to a good coach, but nonetheless rookie DC who didn't have any help. Andy Reid can get away with it - he has a former head coach and experienced genius as a DC.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
It's like abandoning the run and getting stuck in the passing game - going for the intermediate and occasional game-breaker throws while your quarterback is getting killed, and you don't want to put a second tight end in to chip block, or design plays where a blocking back could make the run game go. If what you're doing isn't working, do it again and try harder next time. It's the execution,by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Unless his recovery borders on the miraculous, I'd hazaard a sad guess that his career is as good as done - destroyed by a deliberately DAF hit from a filthy punk thug who should have been thrown out of the league after hanging Chubb and Higs scalps on his stick.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Given McVay's mental set, Snead navigates the territory he must very well. Let's ask ourselves: What if... Snead drafted the players HE wanted in opposition to what McVay wanted? How would McVay respond? I think he'd go nuts. After their "chance" seaside meeting on "vacation" in Mexico, McVay tols Snead, "I want Stafford!" Snead got him. Result: Super Bowl.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I was thinking Eddie George, too, when I posted about Steven Jackson. I saw Steven Jackson in person in his rookie year, when the Rams still had a defense and Marshall Faulk, Holt and Bruce, and a decent O line. Arizona had a good D and Dennis Green was trying to build an offense around Kurt Warner. Their young receivers, Boldin and Fitzgerald, looked promising. Jackson split carries with Fby mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I wish we had a thumbs-up feture. This post deserves one from the whole board. Too bad there isn't sound. I'm sure the love and concern on Stafford's face, an extension of his love for his beautiful little girls, would be heard in his voice. We have ourselves a good man as leader of our Ram herd.by mtramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
