Interesting thought, moving Vese inside. But then, you've got this short-armed guy there already who surprised me last year with what he did from the inside on passing downs.
Moving Verse inside would possibly disrupt the synergy between these two players that will continue to grow.
If Verse is beating his man physically I'd leave him where he is, especially late in the game. Let him wear his man down physically, beat him beat him up make him expend his strength beyond his limits and crash the gate in the fourth quarter.
Just for kicks and giggles, have him stunt with Fiske as part of the plan or Shula could permit the two of them to ad lib and play football to confuse the enemy, create and take advantage of mismatches.
i.e. they switch spots for just one play, Verse looping inside at the last nanosecond. Watch some old Deacon and Merlin tape. They did it all the time.
