Johnson is flat on his back, with a death grip on Lynch's ankle as you said, and he gets pulled about 4 yards along the ground. :bravoby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
if so, impressive. I have no particular animus for Lynch, but that TD just seemed like more of a team effort.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Did anyone else notice that we basically pushed him in? Littleton jumped on top and added momentum toward the endzone, and Talib was yanking on the football trying to pry it loose, and by doing so he was actually dragging Lynch into the end zone. I don't know how many times I read that Lynch went all beast mode there, when really it was illegal(?, maybe this has been changed?) pushes by theby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Last year we used the jet sweeps primarily as a decoy, and because it was Tavon A it worked well to slow down the linebackers and get them thinking. Last night, we used the jet sweeps to pick up yards, and it worked so well that at halftime Gruden said "we gotta stop those jet sweeps." What I love about this, is that to me it feels like McVay was playing the long game last night.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Is that a lot of the Rams players and coaches were very aware of his past, and kept saying to themselves "don't worry, it will hit him in the hands and he will just drop it when it matters anyway." I know I was. In the end, was it a surprise that he was the player targeted on two of the three interceptions. I haven't rewatched the film to see if he was at fault in either one, but Iby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean, all of them, of course, but who are you really curious to see? For me, the biggest name is Cory Littleton. He has made big plays on ST repeatedly, has played decently when given the chance last year, and I am anxious to see how he does as a starter. I have a feeling he may just have "it", whatever "it" is. Suh is next. Going to be focused on the interior of thby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
I enjoyed watching this, first, because Monday is too darn far away. Second, it helps remind me what the key concepts we used on offense last year, and will help as we try to see what new wrinkles McVay is bringing to the table for 2018. So, very much not new, but if you enjoy video analysis, give it a look.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Just curious, but shouldn't the offense be more ready than the defense, with 10 of 11 starters returning? It is the defense that is breaking in multiple new players, albeit very talented ones.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Both teams kick 2 field goals. Rams new look defense causes a lot of three and outs but offense isn't quite in mid-season sync yet. (Although last year the offense came out like they were shot out of a gun.)by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
We paid a lot of money to B Cooks. As a result, expectations are high. Yet I think that the bar for success for Cooks is lower than many think. What I saw last year, is that in this offense, the ball really gets spread around. We have 3 WRs that are all proven, can run good routes and can catch the ball. That, along with the % of offense that runs through Gurley, leads me to temper my defiby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
We only have an 8 man league, so lots of good players available. I actually have Deshaun Watson as my QB1 with Mahomes and Goff on the bench. Took Woods with my second to last pick, I have a feeling that Woods is going to have the best #s of all three wideouts. Actually, what I really think is that all of the Rams WRs are going to be mediocre and week-dependent because Gurley catches so muchby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
1-Never thought Rams would sign Donald (I did but wouldnt have been surprised either way. Mainly I just hope he becomes even more of a monster this year.) 2-Loved the Whitworth signing but hated the Woods signing. 3-Wanted Wentz and not Goff. 4-Wanted Watkins and not Cooks plus what they gave up. (I am skeptical of Watkins given his numbers. I will say I will not be disappointed though if Coby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
I would hate to see the 49ers scoop up Justin Davis, but they are short on RBs with McKinnon down.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
I lurk on this board daily, often multiple times per day. It is one of the best and most useful places to get thoughtful Rams analysis. I rarely write. Partly because I don't like to get into extended exchanges. Also because I don' t understand what people here find interesting. Discussions of whether Aaron Donald is greedy and paying him will ruin the team's cap for years to come garner 1by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
A few writers have referred to the rams current roster as a "dream team" a la the Philadelphia Eagles in recent past. Now, I don't like that, and I hope that the team doesn't start believing it. Confidence is good, arrogance is dangerous. That being said, I believe that it may be true that the Rams have assembled a dream team, just not the one that everyone is looking at. For discussion: I think it is fair to say that Mannion has not looked good in preseason football. I think it is also fair to say that Mannion has been playing with backups behind a backup line, which is not an entirely clear way to judge. Let's say for argument that the Rams do not trade for or pick up another QB prior to the season. Should the Rams get large leads in regular season gby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Even thought the new deal doesn't start til 2019? Because he signed the new deal and thats what that means?by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Does that mean that he plays for $6.9 million salary this year, and the six years start after? Kind of making this a 7 year, $142 million deal, averaging just over $20 million per year?by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
from the hints that McVay dropped. Now we just have to hope that he remains professional and hungry (and healthy would be nice as well). My feeling is that he is an athlete who is so competitive he just wants to be the best. Hey Derek Carr - Suh and Donald are coming for you!by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
At the moment, I would play Hodge over Cooper or any of the other backups we have seen. Why are they not playing Michael Thomas or Josh Reynolds?by PeoriaRa - Game Time Forum
Allows me to get errands done, spend time with family, maybe a little disc golf, and not be trying to schedule it around the Rams game. Plus I spend a bit of time watching other teams I am interested in. At the moment, I have no way of recording the game and watching it later, and can't afford Game Pass, so I have to schedule my weekend around the game when the Rams are playing.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
I love watching curling I would probably try it and see if I like it. I question though, how much it would help, as not all concussions occur on tackles.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
I would: - Cut preseason down to two weeks (three if you insist on a separate week with just Hall of Fame game) - Add two weeks to the regular season - One additional game for each team - One additional bye for each team Get two more weeks of real football, teams get an additional week to heal up midseason, preseason gets shortened. I just don't see any downside in this - you don't evby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
And why is he getting so many opportunities at WR? I have never even heard of the guy, and he certainly did not make the most of his chances yesterday.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
I was watching Kiser rather closely early in his playing time yesterday, and I agree. When the plays came right at him, he got blocked out of the play very easily. Didn't seem to have much ability to avoid those blocks and stay in the play. But when he is chasing, or rushing the passer, he seems to have great instincts. Might just be a matter of needing some technique work re: avoiding/shedby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
It was a good catch by Hodge coming back to the ball and snatching a contested throw, but I would not call that a good throw by Mannion.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
