Fun idea. Looks like Jared is having fun.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
For many years it was a given that a WR or TE was going to need a year to develop in the NFL. There were certain positions (RB, LB) where players were more likely to come in and really contribute as rookies, and others (WR, QB) where they needed time to adjust to the NFL game. Everett made some great catches last year that suggest that he could be a stud pass catching TE. Not as many as we wby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
I used to love Monday night football. My theory was, you enjoy your football all Sunday afternoon, then you go to bed and go to work. Monday is....well, you know, Monday. Then, just for a few golden hours on Monday night, you got just a bit of weekend back. All of that went out the window when they moved the game to ESPN, as I have never had cable. Now, with football on Sunday night andby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
I really believe we draft at least one developmental QB this year, and I read an article that said that Kanoff's coach said that if you ignored what school he went to, Kanoff's workout looked a lot like Jared Goff.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
The fricking Patriots will. And they will make good use of him. And probably beat us with him in the Super Bowl, NE always seems to have a spot for talented players that other teams did not know how to use.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Except that it seems to say that we somehow got a 2nd rounder for Watkins and that is not accurate. Was surprised and pleased to see that Johnson was the tenth best rookie value at any position last year, higher even than Kupp. We really did pick up some great values last year. Apparently Higbee is a liability blocking.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
It's all about the stadium. We are going all-in to win now, hopefully a Super Bowl, I assume because PSLs are hugely expensive and Stan the Man wants to sell season tickets. I personally am unlikely to ever see a game in the new stadium, as I am poor and live in IL, but I wouldn't turn up my nose at a Super Bowl or two over the next three years. But you are right, we are to a certain extenby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you for that analysis. I can't shake the idea that we will also pick up a developmental QB in this draft so I am keeping my eyes peeled for who might be running under the radar a bit.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Chad Kanoff - Princeton. Anyone worked this guy up or know anything about him? He sounds perfect as a developmental backup to JG that we could legitimately get with one of our late picks. From this article on SI: MORE FCS QB LOVE… In case Lauletta isn’t far enough off the radar for you: Princeton’s Chad Kanoff (6' 4", 215), has already visited with the Patriots in Foxboro and hadby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
He has his offense he wants to run, and I think he sees Cooks' skillset as fitting it perfectly. My hope is that this, along with a year of seasoning for Kupp and goff, makes our passing offense even better. And if Everett or Higbee has the light turn on for them as a receiver (very possible as MOST NFL WR's need more than one year to adjust to the pro game) then the sky is the limit.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
in his entire college career. He went undrafted, then spent time at Tampa Bay and Washington before coming to the Rams. His name is Sean McVay. And I trust that he will find a way to improve our red zone offense. I think he has earned that trust. And don't forget that only one team (The Patriots) got the red zone as often as we did last year.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Bear in mind this is highlights so these are his best catches. 1. He is a body catcher. Very rarely plucks the ball with his hands - almost always catches it against his chest. 2. At least on these plays, he seemed to have excellent concentration on the ball in the air. 3. Several times he does run out of bounds or goes down to avoid a big hit. But I didn't see him do it in places whereby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com

Wasn't he a halfway good receiver?by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com

We could always make a call to Colin Kaepernick. He is a proven QB and the LA market is less sensitive to the political stuff than a lot of teams. His style is different, but if we had all the pieces but no QB we could do worse.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
All he needs is a chance and he will make me look like a genius!by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Going to have to be a deep sleeper with the draft picks we have left, but I will be very surprised if we don't draft a QB.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
They must be counting in backup QBs because while Wentz may be better than Goff there is no way it is 3.2 vs 1.7 better. Not even close. But their backup situation is far better.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
How can you possibly argue with his production? Sammy was the physical type that you favor, but how many 1,000 yards seasons did he have? You call Cooks "soft" but what is soft about this stat (from a previously posted article)? "Cooks has increased his average yards per reception from 10.4 to 13.5 to 15.0 in his three seasons." And last year his YPC jumped tby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
After last year's success, I think management sees an opportunity to push all of our chips to the center of the table and create a 2-3 year window of serious contention that will coincide with the move into the new stadium and the push to sell season tickets therein. Much as I hate to complain about having too many talented players, at some point we really are not going to be able to afford toby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
He would be considered a reach in the 1st but I doubt he is still there for us in the 3rd...maybe a tradedown. I usually have a hunch about the draft and who the Rams will pick. I predicted the AD pick weeks ahead of the draft. Crosby is giving me a bit of that but it is not a strong hunch at this time. He has visited.by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com

While they are looking at/rethinking a bunch of rules. Why is it legal to hit somebody in the end zone well after they have crossed the plane and scored? You regularly see both RB's and receivers getting hit hard and often knocked over in the end zone long after the play is ended. Shouldn't this be illegal contact or unsportsmanlike contact?by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
Frankly, I am stunned at the moves the Rams have made this offseason. The trades, the signings, I think it is fair to say there has never been a more eventful Rams offseason in terms of constant, big moves. And I will be honest and say I am nervous about all of this coming together with the chemistry necessary for this team to live up to its talent and potential. But if you look back at 19by PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com

At the start of free agency, teams tend to get a bit hysterical and give huge, unwarranted contracts to imperfect players. Nate Solder $15.5 mil per year Sammy Watkins $16 mil per year based on potential not production (I like Sammy and am rooting for him to live up to that contract btw.) After this first wave passes, however, the hysteria starts to move the other way as players who expectby PeoriaRa - RamsFootballFans.com
