Read that title again. I mean, I get it. I totally get it. We are thinking Super Bowl. There are concerns about enduring all the way through to the end of that. Yup. But the only way you could get me to despise the Seahawks more is if you put Montana, Craig, Lott, and Rice together in blue and green helmets. So, no way looking forward to the playoffs robs me of enjoying this. If you're rby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- They had trouble with the read option today that's for sure, but to say "they're just pass rushers. That's all they are" is ignorant For example, the line on Suh is that he would make us stouter against the run. So... I mean, criticize him for not being as stout as he could be, maybe, but Harrison doesn't even know what he's talking about.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
RAMS 5-0 Seahawks 2-3 Cardinals 1-4 49ers 1-4 I mean... if that doesn't put a huge grin on your face... go get a beer or a dessert or something and come back and look at this post again. :thumbsup :sstby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
1) Previous two games (Vikes and Chargers) were against two very good offenses that have lit up other teams already as well. 2) Seattle at home is a wildcard. They can win there against anybody... well... except the McVay Rams, eh? :spintounge :thumbsup :seahawksblowup :clap Defense has room for improvement... but panic isn't necessary.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Both Vikes and Chargers put up 3+ TD performances today and both won. Vikes did it in the road. So, both of those are good offenses. Also, Seattle at home is Seattle at home. Last year's clincher game was really an aberration in its lopsidedness. So... I'm not ready to say the sky is falling with the defense. It definitely doesn't look good, but it's not necessarily a train wreck yet. Also,by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
That's exactly what many were asking for. I also think it was probably the right thing to do. But it was definitely a bummer not having any kind of return threat.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Right now it's looking like he's got Terrell Owens levels of irresponsibility and stupidity, so maybe he really does need the money. :lolby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
We basically play both KC and DEN on the road, since the KC game is in Mexico... although I would be willing to guess that there are more Rams fans in Mexico than KC (feels like Los Angeles should have a greater cultural connection than Kansas City, but what do I know). Denver's defense looked pretty stout, especially against the pass. At the same time, their running game was gobbling up hugeby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm getting a lot of entertainment out of every time they show Jason Witten and the other guy together. Witten is hilariously awkward the way he feels he has to lean over because he's more than a head taller. And his arm gestures constantly invading the other guy's space... just feels so uncomfortable but hilarious to watch. :lolby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
They're just too outmatched by what we've got and, so far this year, Russell Wilson has not been able to pull them out of game after game after game like he somehow did last year. Could we lose? Sure. But... it's like Gurley said last week, "Anyone can be beat. But right now, we can't be beat." :thumbsupby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
This is how you RAM IT old-school... or so I've been told (I, er... actually wasn't even alive when this happened).by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
As AlbaNY mentioned, the Rams "agreed" to do so, but it's actually not much of an "agreement." By NFL rule, any team that is building a new stadium is required to participate in the international games until their "real" home stadium is finished. Raiders will have to go through this starting next year. The Chargers avoided it last year only because they made theirby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit I definitely can't remember him making any splash plays like blowing up sweeps or knocking balls down in the middle of the field in pass coverage, or even making big hits. When I see him make tackles it's usually 5-8 yards beyond the LOS. Maybe I've missed something? ... to extend your metaphor. Lots of bogus calls over the years at critical junctures have gone against the Rams. Lots of non-calls in favor of Rams opponents have been witnessed (cf. SB36). So, if the worst call in officiating history, or the worst game full of calls in officiating history, were to someday go in the Rams favor and completely "steal" a game for the Rams, this is howby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com

Remember when Thielen was forced to go through the concussion protocol? I understand his initial frustration, but he really gave that official an earful all the way from the line of scrimmage to the sideline. I was thinking, "On any other play doesn't that get you an unsportsmanlike conduct flag to be screaming at the official like that?"by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Saw this pointed out on reddit. Marshawn Lynch: 11 carries for 41 yds (3.7avg) David Johnson 13 carries for 48 yds (3.7avg) Melvin Gordon 15 carries for 80 yds (5.3avg) Dalvin Cook: 10 carries for 20 yds (2avg) 189yds from #1 RB's (47.25/game). 344 yds total (86/game, 7th in NFL). Clearly, Phillips and McVay felt that last year's run defense woes were our primary problem and itby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRFL He slides habitually into that repetitive patter: "Can't say enough … I think we need to keep growing … Just a group of guys …" Frankly, I find his platitudes grating. The whole team does it. Listen to any interview and they often bust out the same kind of generalized stuff that mimics McVay a lot. First couple weeks Goff had a few bombs that he missed. They would have been easy TD's. We left points on the field. Call it rust. Call it whatever. Doesn't matter. After those games he said: "Shoot, we'll fix that" (approximate paraphrase ;) ). Last night, when it really mattered, it was fixed. Case closed. :thumbsupby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Despite my sentimentality for the guy, that was a big no-no. Worse: when I saw they were lining up on the right hash, my heart immediately sank. Just knew he was going to miss it.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
The scores were electric, but since Minnesota kept answering, I kept thinking, "Man, can we just grind out an 8-minute possession here with a TD at the end and take a bunch of clock away from them?" Part of what kept it close, imho, was that MN was winning the Time of Possession big time for most of the night. Not complaining, just sayin'by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com

I realize the opinion that Goff is a "System QB" goes back to last year, but it seems to me it was really brought back to the front by the reporter who asked both McVay and Goff about that a week or so ago. Does anyone know who it was that asked that question? See, upon further reflection... I wonder if it was a set up to force the issue? I mean, no one can predict how Goff would plaby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
