I realize the opinion that Goff is a "System QB" goes back to last year, but it seems to me it was really brought back to the front by the reporter who asked both McVay and Goff about that a week or so ago. Does anyone know who it was that asked that question?
See, upon further reflection... I wonder if it was a set up to force the issue? I mean, no one can predict how Goff would play in a given game, but with a high profile, primetime game coming up, the reporter really did Goff a favor. He gave him a chance to prove one way or the other and put the issue to rest. Goff rose to occasion.
As annoying as the question was, maybe it was really intended to help bring that conversation forward and give Goff the opportunity to seize the national awareness he deserves.
Just thinkin' out loud...
