Goodness. I mean... if you have to make a hard decision, I'd rather let JoJo Natson go and have Countess fair catch every punt. Well... que sera.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
He's probably the last guy on the bubble I would let go. Need a solid O-Line to keep Jared healthy and clean. If someone goes down... not sure about the depth behind Brown.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
How many players have played 17 games in a season since the introduction of the bye week? Great trivia question. EDIT: And here's the answer! Jerry Rice is the most famous one. Former Ram Will Witherspoon is another.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Other than that, he looks like the real deal. Lots of quickness off the snap and a lightning fast spin move he uses to get around the blocker and plow right into the QB. Eyeball test says he can be at least as good as Quinn was last year in terms of getting to the QB or opening things up for Suh and Donald.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
He just went from a team headed to the gutter to having a very good chance at a Super Bowl ring. If he isn't doing everything he can starting 15 minutes from now to learn our schemes, get on that field, and help us kill the QB's coming up in the next few weeks, then we made a bad deal. But since I trust McSnead.... no way we made a bad deal. :thumbsupby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the key is: just do what we do on offense at a level of excellence for all sixty minutes. Maybe that means some wrinkles that no one has seen yet. That's fine. But play our game. Don't overthink it and reach like we need some kind of explosive start where we score in the first 3-5 plays from scrimmage for each of the first three drives. Just smash them in the mouth with Gurley and that exby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
On the one hand, you could argue that Watkins and Cooks are not too dissimilar in their output this year and basically a wash. On the other hand, it's clear to me that in McVay's offense Cooks is the better receiver to date (compared to Watkins last year). Can you say, "Well, Watkins missed most of training camp last year?" Is that the reason? Or is the offense in Kansas City justby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Is this team "tougher" than the 1999-2001 teams? For me, that's not the same as "better." It's a different category. It's more situational. Put simply, if Warner, Faulk, Bruce, and Holt get down 10-0 with just a couple minutes left in the half against a Packer team smelling blood... do they pull that one out? Maybe... but I'm not 100% positive. Those GSOT years the Rams mosby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Something from one of the mic'd up games like, "1st and Woods. 3rd and Kupp." Yes, hope he's ready to go. Biggest game of the season right here.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJamesJM I don't think two losses to two top ranked teams is a very hopeful outlook going into the playoffs... it would NOT be a "turn out the lights' moment but it would definitely cast a pall over that first playoff game. I hear ya. That's why I put my guiding principles there... have some "healthy skepticism." I really think we should split them, and I know we have the abby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com

All I know is that the Jags are on a something like a 4 game skid right now. Is he stuck on a bad team? Or is he on the potential trade block for a reason?by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Most Packer fans don't even care about your team. They just want to talk about how great the Packers are. I've had few positive experiences talking football with Seattle fans by comparisons.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Video link: Peters after 49ers game (Week 7, 2018) See that huge icepack? Notice that his gait is all wonky? The fact that some people are saying he isn't hurt defies the eyeball test. Now... I think we can have a healthy debate as to whether he should continue playing hurt. Like someone else said: apparently the coaching staff feels that a hurt Peters on the opponent's #1 WR is better thanby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe I'm just blind, but I can't remember maybe ever seeing a team do a bunch of shifting and motion pre-punt if it isn't a fake. But we did that a few times yesterday. In fact, one Hekker punt went a little short because I think one of the guys who moved inside was a bit far back and almost got pushed into Hekker while he punted. Anyway... any insights into why we're doing that? Obviously, wby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Rodgers had a chance to go up by 8 in the previous drive and put the game probably out of reach for the Rams. He failed. I'm frankly unimpressed by this "best QB to ever play the position" nonsense. I'm not even sure he's better than Brett Favre, and that's just in Packers history. Marino? Montana? Gimme a break.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSaguaro Yes, it matters. Number of wins determines HFA, before any other consideration. We're 8-0 and we barely have HFA as things stand right now. It's ridiculous. We could be 6-2 and still be considered a very good and very dangerous team, but we'd be playing from behind on the season. Seems like every time the Rams get a shot to contend they absolutely need 14+ wins, which is jusby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com

I guess I'm pretty well documented in my opinion today, but I'll reiterate since this is a dedicated thread to the topic... 1) He's hurt and that's affecting his game. While that does negatively affect our team, I think some of the "he sux" comments are overboard. 2) McVay and then general "we not me" culture has neutralized his overly emotional side, but it hasn't complby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotestlramz I saw my two-year-old daughter jumping up and doing touchdown symbols with her hands at the end of the game in my living room. Isn't that stuff awesome! I let my 4yo and 2yo stay up late for the Thursday night game against the Vikes and they had a blast.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Did you see that video of him with horns after the game last week. Huge ice pack. Noticeable limp. I'd link it but twitter search isn't coming up with it right away. I mean, it's gutsy. I respect him. But he isn't 100%.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
Just talking "traditional" depth chart there, but you're right.by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
It's not about his skill, it's that Peters is playing hurt. Which means that some percentage of those over the top plays he's going to get burned. It's sort of an intractable problem. He's not hurt enough to not play... but he isn't quite healthy enough to be the shut-down corner he normally is. So... what do you do? If you force him to the bench... that probably doesn't go well. Hopefullyby EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSaguaro And later, people can start telling us what the Rams are still doing wrong. Indeed. The 8-0 Rams. Lots of problems. (tongue in cheek... not trying to be too sarc-y :thumbsup)by EternalHorns - RamsFootballFans.com
