I found myself wondering

October 30, 2018 08:52AM
Is this team "tougher" than the 1999-2001 teams? For me, that's not the same as "better." It's a different category. It's more situational. Put simply, if Warner, Faulk, Bruce, and Holt get down 10-0 with just a couple minutes left in the half against a Packer team smelling blood... do they pull that one out? Maybe... but I'm not 100% positive.

Those GSOT years the Rams mostly played from ahead. They had a bad game against Tennessee in 1999 where lots went wrong and they lost. This year's Rams seem to be able to rise above that kind of adversity. They don't blow away other teams as often... but they seem to have a better knack for the close ones.

An argument against what I'm saying would be the playoffs win against the Bucs. That was a tough win. The Super Bowl win was pretty tough, too. But (unless I remember the Bucs game wrong), I don't think we ever played from behind in those games.

I don't really know. Just a thought I had. I'd be curious to hear what others think.
