QuoteRockRam Obviously this doesn't include the draft. But it does include known FAs, and our own UFAs (NOT RFAs or ERFAs). Here's how I see it (not that I necessarily agree with the decisions the FO will make, but rather this is what I think they'll do). 1) They will resign Joyner to a deal bigger than most here expect. QuoteRockRam Look: this isn't a bummer against Watkins. Of course there was an effect of Watkins on how Kupp and Woods did. And vice versa. I think they are a great trio who compliment one another wonderfully. I hope it can stay that way for some more years. But that's now up to Watkins. QuoteRams43 Rams are generally fair with their salary offers, certainly not penny pinchers like some teams. I get your philosophy 43. A few years ago I leaned that direction myself. I've shifted some from that stance. I see how Snead talks, and how the teams think about it. Need is a big factor. I don't think Watkins is a $16M WR anymore than I thought TruJ was a $16M CB. But I'm pretty sure that if Joyner wasn't a free agent too, they would tag Watkins in a heartbeat. When you think about it, overpaying someone $6M in one year isn't a big deal. What is a big deal is getting involved in a bad long term contract. You can't legislate integrity but you can legislate consequences for when someone doesn't have integrity. If a contract was in place, McDaniels wouldn't have reneged. This rule will solve the issue.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
