I'm still running thru combine footage, as I spent most of the weekend in and out of the hospital with my future father in law. Nothing real serious, but hard to watch a combine while traveling and/or in the hospital chatting with doctors. But I always get a kick out of combine winners and losers, sure some may slide around a little, but for the most part not much changes. I am a ways from finby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
So athletic, loose hipped, and explosive, but lacks long speed. That will be his draft profile from me.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Here is a look at how Mel Kiper's Top rankings stack up by each position. QB He has the top 6 in the same order I do, after that we differ a bit, but not much. Looks good to me. 1. Caleb Williams, USC 2. Jayden Daniels, LSU 3. Drake Maye, North Carolina 4. J.J. McCarthy, Michigan 5. Michael Penix Jr., Washington 6. Bo Nix, Oregon 7. Spencer Rattler, South Carolina 8. but Fred Warner are a rare animal. Question, are you willing to spend a 2nd round pick on Wilson, for him to be a part time player? Or would you rather spend a 2nd round pick on a fulltime starter? And get a quick LBer to pair with EJ later on, like day 3. I know what I'd prefer.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com

then why did he only have 6 sacks in the last 3 years? answer: he has absolutely no pass rush moves, it's speed to win and if that gets stonewalled, he's done. on the opposite end, Latu wins with less athleticism because he has a devastating swim, dip and rip, spin and a stutter false step. football is about executionby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
whether it's gap discipline or eye discipline, they run so much motion, to get you going right when it's left and vice versa, maintain your gaps, trust your DC to put you in a winning position and execute. and tackle. finish that said I want a monstervin the middle that commands or demands double teams. someone asked me and alyo a few weeks ago about our thoughts on him. I said all day motor, but he looks slow. I need to back into my dvr. he's a solid 2nd rounder. Quote3030 RB Audric Estime - Notre Dame I like him, think he would compliment Williams well. I have a 3rd round grade on him. CB Ennis Rakestraw - Mizzou I think he is at his best as a press man corner so thats interesting, 2nd round grade. EDGE Bralen Trice - Washington Haven't had time to see what he weighed in at, but he's a tad stiff, and his size makes him a 43 DE, 2nd round grade LB Jaylby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
A kid like Puka, or Young or Turner. They all just love football and work their tails off every day. He may not have that flexion in his ankles to flatten the edge and turn a 90 degree corner to the QB, but he is super advanced with his hand usage, changing his pace and angles from which he attacks. He has Ram written all over him. I wonder how his medicals will turn out.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci Marvin Harrison is going to Indy apparently but not training on or doing any drills, so not competing. You wrote on my assessment 'Want to see him compete" because I said I thought he may not be best in show ... Specifically a LG. He can get upright too often and when he does that, he loses all his leverage. As the saying goes, low man wins. Even though I think he is a very good athlete for the position, speed did give him issues from what I saw. So put him in at LG, in a phone both and I think you have a very good starter for a long time. And in a pinch, you can swing him to OT. Or start him at OG aby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
So you tender Jackson to keep him as your starting LT for 1 more year, and then draft his replacement with a round 1 pick, which is fine since Mims will need a year anyways, but after that... Resign Dotson as a top priority, great. Resign Shelton for 2 more years meaning your interior line is set through 2025. But then you draft Beebe to be your LG of the future in the 2nd round? Last year I was in love with Drew Sanders for the same things you are talking about now. Sanders led Arkansas in tackles 103ish and sacks 9.5 playing the MLB spot. I thought you could have him line up next to Jones inside and move him outside on passing downs as a pass rusher. And I still think Wilson is a 3rd rounder just like Sanders. Age and injury history is part if it. But Wilson misses aby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com

And again, we are off on maybe 2% of players. I couldn't pull it off ... I usually try to get one out after the Senior Bowl, but I got keyboard tied every time. First, I can't without trading down with that first pick. Next, there are too many guys close at WR and CB for me to do it without seeing times from the combine. Super smart. Nasty demeanor on the field that I love. Not dirty, but he wants to dominate you for 60 mins and for you to know you were dominated. After I realized he had played OC, I immediately thought this guy could be my OC1. I think he could be a OC, a OG or a OT in a pinch and not let you down. And what I mean is: at 6'-2 1/2" 216 lbs, he has good, not great size I think his arm is good, not great. I worry about his velocity going deep, but he can make all the throws. So I am repeating the same style every year, just updating it. Until I miss something, like Gaines and ARob. Sorry about that. I do like keeping the format the same. Maybe its my OCD lol.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Same with his pro day. So what you see is what you get with him. Probably comes to the combine, weighs in, does his medical checkup, does some interviews and thats it. I wish he was bigger. He is 6'-0" and only weighs 207 lbs. plus or minus. He should easily be at 215 to 220 at that height. Now if he was a 4.42 guy, I'm fine with 207-210. But he isn't. That said, I like him as a timeby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
I decided 7 years ago I was going to change the way I operated as far as my half assed scouting. I would still do 3 mocks, but it would be post senior bowl, post combine, and pre-draft. The senior bowl answers some questions, like can a D2 player compete with the big guys. How do they handle a pro style offense? How do they interview? The combine can confirm some stuff you think you see or don'tby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesince68 Do you think the draft is deeper in CBs or edge? If we take a CB at 19 and the top 6/7 edges are gone at 52, what edge would you consider if ... Lets go group by group, its easiest for my OCD. QB (3) Stafford, Bennett and Winn Wentz is a FA You could really say 1 here, as Winn is TC fodder and Bennett cannot be trusted. Its a need. Depending on what you are trying to do with the QB spot will determine draft or FA. Win now backup or Staffords down the road replacement? Win now backup screams FA, maybe even bringing back Wentz. Quotealyoshamucci Just noting, maybe even just for myself, what I'm looking for at the combine from each ... It should be noted that 3 cone and short shuttle are high priorities from our FO on prospects. So I won't mention that unless I really need to. 1. Williams 2. Maye 3. Daniels 4. McCarthy 5. Penix 6. Nix Arrange 2 and 3 how you want, but those 3 are first round locks. Then you can arrange 4 thru 6 any way you want, I personally have Nix and Penix in round 2. McCarthy is middle to later round 1. but even if they all make it in the 1st, the odds they are all drafted 18 or higher imo is less than 5%by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
