Before you call me nuts, I am not advocating this trade, but I am throwing the idea out there because I think it would make for a lively discussion. If the Rams no longer had to pay Donald the huge bucks, then perhaps this would go a long way to having the finances to retain everybody else. Plus the Rams would gain two number one draft choices.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams will not give two number ones. The Giants will not take less. Case closed. No trade.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
As of Wednesday noon, I vote NO. I'd like to see opinions (guesses) from other posters. (Note that this has nothing to do with whether you wish he would sign. This is simply whether you guess he will or won't).by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Vinny and Klein do a good job of reporting the facts. What I'd like to see, however, is one or two sports/opinion columns where the beat writers sound off about matters of fan interest. I would also like to see a weekly live chat with one or both of the aforementioned where we posters can throw probing questions at them. We had such a chat in St. Louis.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
No kidding...I was planning to E-mail the administration later today and ask whatever happened to GRITS, since I so much missed his posts. It is a sad day indeed for Rams fandom.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
BRAVO. Make every PI call reviewable and challengeable and you will eliminate at least some of those ticky-tack calls that too often decide the outcome of a game.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Atlanta showed that the Rams' offense can be somewhat blunted by their "Gurley defense." All 2018 opponents will adopt that defense, so how the Rams deal with that will go a long way to determine the success of the upcoming season.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me if Gronk catches it and falls (or is wrestled) down, he is not quite over the goal line. Just sayin"...by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
The players will strike during the pre-season. The owners will set a deadline for reaching and agreement, and when that deadline is not met, the owners will postpone the start of the season for a week or two and then proceed with replacement players. This will last for several weeks and finally a new contract will be signed. There will be no winners. The losers will be the fans and the TV statiby troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Defensive coordinators around the league, when playing the Rams next season, will employ a "Stop Gurley" defense by stacking the box and perhaps assigning a defender to shadow Gurley and make it difficult to pass to Gurley. That's something we all know or strongly suspect. What McVey has to do is think up ways to punish teams who employ this "Stop Gurley" defense. If this meanby troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Add to THE GOOD the TV commentators. Best IMHO in a long time. Knowledgeable, articulate and interesting. Also add to THE GOOD to ability of the special teams to avoid those annoying block-in-the-back penalties that would have negated some spectacular runbacks.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe I'm wrong, but didn't the GSOT lose a couple of games in mid-season? If the Rams pressure Keenam, they win. If not, they lose.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Is it me, or are there many more penalty flags thrown this season than in past years? Because I have the Direct TV Sunday Ticket Max, I am able to watch numerous games in addition to the Rams' game. In almost every case it seems to me that they cannot get more than two or three plays in before a yellow flag is thrown. This stops the momentum of what, much of the time, would otherwise be an enby troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Several times, when his team was on offense, I looked for him, but he wasn't in the game. Is it my imagination or was he benched for a time?by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
In St. Louis, Jim Thomas of the PD hosted a weekly Mailbag where we could ask him Rams questions. None of the LA writers covering the Rams seem inclined to do this. Too bad. Am I the only one who misses the Mailbags?by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
My friend and I left the stadium just before the blocked kick in order to beat the crowds and the traffic. As we reached the parking lot and got into our car we heard a roar from inside the stadium. We had missed the entire frantic end of the game.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Will someone please post Friday's Gary Klein Mailbag or, if that is not possible, post a link to it.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
I would have no quarrel with him staying if he would just realize that fourth quarter prevent defenses just "prevent" your team from closing out a win.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
If I'm a defensive coordinator preparing my team to play against the Rams, my job is simple. Stack the box to stop Gurley and prepare my guys to defend the other half-dozen plays the Rams use. Simple.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Given that there will probably be a major shakeup in the Rams' roster in the off-season. And given that there are numerous young men on the current roster who, for whatever reason, have been given very little time to show off their talents... Wouldn't it make sense for the Rams to use the last two games to "empty the bench" and find out just who are the keepers and who are the throwaby troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
0-4 is my vote. Most of us are taking the 49ers for granted, but I believe they will defeat us in a close game.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Years ago, the Rams installed the "Ground Chuck" system under coach Knox. It was a run-first offense. My 81-year-old brain doesn't remember what the team's won-lost record was during the Knox era, but I do remember sitting in the stands for Rams games, sharing my boredom with most of the eerily-quiet fandom. I also remember that we fans and the media complained constantly about the vanby troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
You people are using the term "high school offense" to criticize the Rams offense (or lack of same). I am a retired high school teacher who has witnessed countless high school football games and I can tell you that many high school teams have offenses a lot more imaginative and exciting than the Rams.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Tavon will be traded for a veteran left tackle, and GR will be moved to guard. Just my opinion.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
I was one of the posters who, in pre-season, realistically thought that it was against the odds for the Rams to win a playoff spot. But I also thought that I would be satisfied if the Rams were competitive in every game. Well...if you discount the opening game disaster, the Rams certainly have been competitive, winning three and losing two. Am I a happy fan? No. Have I given up on the team? This is a game the Rams should win IMHO. If they do, then I will gladly look forward to the possibility of a satisfying season. If the Rams lose, then I, for one, will join the pessimists and foresee another 7-9 season or worse, especially since the schedule gets a lot tougher in coming weeks.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Since ATT took over, they've made it more difficult for Direct TV to give Sunday Ticket away for free. However, Direct TV gets around this by giving a sizable monthly discount on the basic DTV service (my discount was $30 a month for 12 months) and this discount, in effect, pays for the Sunday Ticket. They do insist on a one-year DTV commitment, but I don't have a problem with that.by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
My first call several weeks ago got nowhere. My call Tuesday evening got me a $50 monthly discount for 12 months plus $5 per month discount on my HBO. I took the basic Sunday Ticket ( not really interested in Max version).by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
Last year they wouldn't give me a lower price on Sunday Ticket but they did lower the price on the Direct TV service by $30 monthly which, in effect, accomplished the same thing. I was told to call back August 1st to see if they would extend that $30 discount for another year. If not...well...by troublefree - RamsFootballFans.com
