Defensive coordinators around the league, when playing the Rams next season, will employ a "Stop Gurley" defense by stacking the box and perhaps assigning a defender to shadow Gurley and make it difficult to pass to Gurley. That's something we all know or strongly suspect. What McVey has to do is think up ways to punish teams who employ this "Stop Gurley" defense. If this means more passing, so be it. Runniing Gurley into a stacked line is for a one or two yard gain is just a waste of a down, IMHO.
