Is it me, or are there many more penalty flags thrown this season than in past years?
Because I have the Direct TV Sunday Ticket Max, I am able to watch numerous games in addition to the Rams' game. In almost every case it seems to me that they cannot get more than two or three plays in before a yellow flag is thrown. This stops the momentum of what, much of the time, would otherwise be an entertaining game.
I have no solution to this problem, if indeed a problem even exists. There are football rules and they must be enforced. Perhaps game officials could ease up on calling borderline fouls (except in cases involving player safety). Perhaps coaches could be allowed to challenge any penalty call, which would make the officials think twice before throwing the yellow flag. Perhaps posters reading this message have some suggestions.
And perhaps -- yes, I admit it -- this whole premise of too many yellow flags is just my imagination.
