I didn't watch the whole vid, but maybe Long is just in the wrong scheme. He seem to have most of his success in college playing man to man, press coverage. He does seem lost in space, when he is required to play back off of the receiver, and in zone coverage.

On the Coach McVay Show with JB Long and D'Marco Farr. McVay said that this was the explanation given to him for the Rams penalty on this ST play. He also says that they have video tape that Skowronek was on the field inside the numbers prior to the lineup and snap. He didn't state it specifically, but kinda was inferred that tape is headed to the NFL HQS. Not that it will change anything.
