and full disclosure, he played for my alma mater at SDSU, so I do have a LOT of bias when I talk about him. So.... I got to see him play almost every game for 4 years of college football. He makes plays. It isn't his straight line speed that makes him fast, it's his instincts and football IQ. He is a smart and savvy player who can quickly dissect a play. Not sure if this has been posted, but I found this article to be a really good read: Winners and Losers in the Von Miller Trade to the Rams The Broncos dealt a former Super Bowl MVP, and it will impact coaches, GMs, teammates, opponents and others across the league. QuoteBut when the coach says you're not trying hard enough... That is just disappointing to hear. Maybe something will motivate him but if you can't get motivated by being on an NFL roster then I think that would be a reason for concern. To me, this was a pretty loud call out by McVay. @JourdanRodrigue Asked McVay whether second-round pick Atwell (who somewhat understandably has not worked into offense but ST touches have also decreased) is where he thought he’d be: “He has a lot of room to develop and grow…I’d like to see him have a little more increased sense of urgency.” @JourdanRodrigue I think the realistic and fair way to look at this is that it’s OK to not beby Guard - RamsFootballFans.com

maybe they thought they could stash him on their PS, but he signed with the Chiefs PS instead. He grew up just North of KC in Sioux Center, IA. Maybe he wanted to be closer to home. I was disappointed he didn't get more opportunities in the pre-season, but those are the breaks. You have to take advantages of when the opportunities present themselves. but I'm not sure that he fills what we lost in Mundt. Here is his Draft profile. See last bullet comment: Overview Makes up for his lack of size with athletic ability and plus speed for the position. but as a byproduct of what Stafford has brought to this offense. Kupp is.... Kupp. He's tenacious, and difficult for Defenses to defend. Besides, Woods, Jefferson, and Higbee are getting a complimentary amount of catches and TD's. At least that is what I'm seeing. As for the PR role.... good grief, stop that!by Guard - RamsFootballFans.com
And the truth lies somewhere in between what the statistics tell us, and what our eyes see. Maybe, instead of spending so much time on comparisons with last year's defense, we can focus on what we see as weaknesses or holes in this defense that may prevent us from going deep into the playoffs and a SB ring. For me, I still feel uneasy about how thin our secondary is, and how they are beinby Guard - RamsFootballFans.com

I didn't watch the whole vid, but maybe Long is just in the wrong scheme. He seem to have most of his success in college playing man to man, press coverage. He does seem lost in space, when he is required to play back off of the receiver, and in zone coverage.by Guard - RamsFootballFans.com

not yet. That 1st qtr, and those huge cushions the DB's were giving up still linger in my mind. Maybe when D. Williams returns. I do think the David Long trial is over. On the Coach McVay Show with JB Long and D'Marco Farr. McVay said that this was the explanation given to him for the Rams penalty on this ST play. He also says that they have video tape that Skowronek was on the field inside the numbers prior to the lineup and snap. He didn't state it specifically, but kinda was inferred that tape is headed to the NFL HQS. Not that it will change anything.by Guard - RamsFootballFans.com
the next couple of games, these teams have lots of weaknesses. As for this past Giants game.... well, they were woefully undermanned, and got worse for them as the game went along. An individual on twitter.... for what that is worth, stated that Skworonek came in late from the sideline and did not report into the "huddle" inside the hashmarks, prior to the snap.
