and full disclosure, he played for my alma mater at SDSU, so I do have a LOT of bias when I talk about him. So.... I got to see him play almost every game for 4 years of college football. He makes plays. It isn't his straight line speed that makes him fast, it's his instincts and football IQ. He is a smart and savvy player who can quickly dissect a play. Some call it, having a nose for the football. When I watched him play, he was in on almost every tackle on D, started and led the team in tackles all 4 years that he played (redshirt freshman).... on a very good FCS DIV 1 Defense. His stat line in college was 475 Tackles, 6 Sacks, 8 INT's, and 8 FF's. That's averaging close to a 120 tackles a season.... and 8 INT's and 8 FF's for a MLB is pretty good.
I would have liked to see him get more opportunities in the shortened pre-season games, but that didn't happen. I hope that he can contribute and help the Rams to a SB title.
