Rams OLB Byron Young wins NFL Rookie of the Week award Cameron DaSilva How good has the Los Angeles Rams’ rookie class been this year? The NFL hands out Rookie of the Week honors after each week and Rams players have won the award half the time this season. Puka Nacua won it in Weeks 2 and 4, and now Byron Young has added the award to his resume. He was named the NFL’s Pepsi Rookiby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
For the O. Don’t abandon the run game again, Sean. Ever. Especially against a weak run D like the Steelers have. Don’t worry about who carries the ball, they will succeed behind this ‘new’ OL. More 12 sets please. Specifically including snaps/targets for this Davis Allen kid. He could be a huge weapon that gives D’s fits. For the D. More snaps for Mathis. QuoteRockRam I'd love to hear your opinion if, at this point, you think there are enough good LTs that there would be one worthy of the Rams 1st round pick at around pick 18. If not, then is there a position in this upcoming draft that looks really good that could be on the Rams radar that would be tempting to spend that 1st rounder on? I suspect that Rams will be picking later than 18, Rock.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

And they’re only gonna get better and better as they gain experience together. About that 2nd half rushing bonanza. Absolutely no disrespect intended for KW because he did a helluva job. But many times he was not even touched until 6 yards or more downfield. Point being that I think the OL did a phenomenal job and deserves the lions share of the credit. Snead has stacked back-to-back great drafts, and there’s no reason not to expect another in 2024. Rams actually have a 1st for the first time since 2016 and this next draft should be loaded at Ram positions of greatest need pre-FA. Speaking of FA, Snead will be hip deep in cap dollars to sign 2-4 premium FA’s at positions of need before draft even starts. Rams now have a corps of exceptiby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Ahh, yes. FA is certainly gonna be a big tool for Snead next offseason. I expect 2-3 major signings before the draft which will free Snead up to take BPA with each and every pick. There should be precious few holes remaining on this roster by the end of Day 3 in this next draft.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsfan1971 QuoteLMU93 I think the ideal scenario is Jackson playing well this year and then picking up his RFA tender for 2024. He is still an ascending player and fits their new OL scheme well. Would allow them to use premium draft picks (1st and 2nd rounds) elsewhere. That all said, you cant dismiss the idea of drafting a LT high next April. If the value is there you do it. Good LTby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
ESPN analyst says Puka Nacua has more trade value than Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford Cameron DaSilva Let’s preface this by saying the Los Angeles Rams are not trading Puka Nacua. Or Matthew Stafford. Or Cooper Kupp. Or Aaron Donald. But, if they were to move any of those players, which one would have the most value on the trade market? Logically, you might think Stafford, being anby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Here’s Kupped… Rookies keep growing and we keep seeing more... and the 22 class keeps bringing more. 5 players from the 22 class started or played significant snaps yesterday. Here’s Oldnotdead… I think a lot of us are looking at next year as a legit SB run year. But this year is hugely important because it sets the table for 2024 and beyond. We have all wondered what would this team be without Stafford, Kupp and Donald. This year we got that answer. Nacua has been an understudy for Kupp for years, not just this year and it shows in how he plays. I view him as Kuppby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

And some good things from Hoecht, believe it or not, although to a much lesser degree.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
This exciting Rams team has exceeded all reasonable expectations for so many young players, no question. Fans now are reasonably thinking about playoff possibilities, rather than earning the 1st overall draft pick. Cough, cough… However… There are 2 remaining positions that Rams simply must upgrade if at all possible this year. Number 1 is Hoecht. Quotemerlin Even if we end up winning enough games to draft around 20th that's a lot better place to take a shot on one of those tackles who has a chance to be a LT than waiting for round two. And if there are no LT types they like then Edge is a cornerstone need as well. And if there is no Edge then CB is another cornerstone need for us, hoping we hit on a shutdown type cover option. I think we are a legit playoff candidate with or without Burns, R2K. I’m hoping that Snead can acquire an inexpensive journeyman type to upgrade from Hoecht to get us through this year and enhance our playoff prospects.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Point taken, Merlin. I could have been more clear in my post. Obviously, the RB is a huge part of the running game equation. But a dominant OL is, also. And that Rams OL was truly dominant in that 2nd half. And I don’t think that they’ve fully gelled yet. So, a decent RB should be expected to have good results behind this OL against a poor run D like the Steelers have. Anything less thanby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- Once we get to 5-3 it will be “get it done”!!! :beercan I’m gonna trust the Snead/McVay brain trust on any Burns decision. They’ve certainly earned it. Evidence of superb run blocking by OL. If this OL can continue that excellence vs Steelers then I don’t think it will much matter which Ram RB is carrying the rock.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemtramfan ... he's slow. He only runs a 4.6. Therefore he has no game speed and can't bust a run of 15 - 20 yards. The 40 time proves it. Firstly, I’m not so sure that Burns is all that. Certainly nowhere near a CMC level of talent. Secondly, after seeing what Snead accomplished in this last draft I’m inclined to let him try to repeat that success only including that 1st now, as well. A Young in the 3rd is amazing value.
